If you are following #MansionMurders trial and were looking for a picture or video of Darrell Wint. He got an escort out a door the public is not allowed to use. Court security did the same thing with Steffon Wint. Neither brother has been in witness protection.

Still no photo op of Darrell...

There’s a reason for that.

But maybe DarrW Goo forgot that before Facebook there was MySpa...and YouT...

The more Darrell talks, the more upset I get.
Kinda' causes a knot in the pit of my stomach :(
Me too. I'm not happy with the prosecution on this. He knew darn well DW was hiding something and I don't buy that line about "not trying to be into people's business," either. Maybe they can't make a case, but they should charge him with aiding and abetting some kind of crime. I don't understand why they put him on the stand and now that he's testified, I'm upset he isn't charged with something.

Justice has been long time coming, and although we're suppose to be getting closer to getting answers, I was full of anxiety today. My heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the victims. :(:(:(:(

From WTOP’s live blog- Day 18 is after the summary. Lots of good info including...

“In contrast to Daron Wint, whose phone went dark over the two days the victims were taken captive and later killed, prosecutors showed call records for Darrell Wint that showed a steady stream of incoming and outgoing calls on May 13 and May 14.

But Wint's defense team sought to raise questions about whether Darrell Wint was the one actually making the phone calls because, on the stand Wednesday, he was unable to identify all of the numbers.”

Daron Wint’s brother takes the stand, denies involvement in D.C. quadruple slaying
October 17 at 7:30 PM
Daron Wint is the sole person charged in the 2015 slayings of three members of a wealthy Northwest Washington family and their housekeeper. His defense: His brothers committed the crimes.

On Wednesday, one of those brothers — the one Wint claims drove him to the victims’ home and asked for help burglarizing it — took the witness stand.

Answering a prosecutor’s questions, often in one-word answers, Darrell Wint told jurors he did not kill the victims. He said he had never been to the home where they were slain and he did not start the fire that burned there.

Then Assistant U.S. Attorney Laura Bach asked Darrell Wint how he felt about testifying against his brother.

“It’s disappointing, that’s my big brother, and look what you doing,” Wint answered. “He should be ashamed of himself, for real.”

Darrell Wint, 32, has been at the center of much of the testimony in his brother’s D.C. Superior Court trial. In the end, the verdict could come down to which brother jurors believe.

Probably random people calling him to buy weed JMO

Then that could be verified.
Wouldn’t you have your regular customers in your phone with their names or nicknames?

You call my cell and if your name doesn’t pop up, no answer by me. And unlike DarrW Goo, I’ve had the same mobile # since 1988. I got it after Julie Love disappeared

No. This isn't a sushi delivery restaurant. Drug dealers do not keep or, worse, tag the numbers of their buyers or suppliers. Plus many people in the business change phones all the time. Actually many people who live paycheck to paycheck or in poverty lose their phones from time to time and need to get new ones.

Maybe it’s different here.
I have a phone a detective gave me along with other personal effects, the dreaded Manila envelope, and that phone had most folks tagged. It made it easy to call them and find out what happened after the phone’s owner died. Especially the person who called 74 times in a 24 hour period.

Where was Darrell on May 13? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. . . .

Darrell initially "told homicide detectives he was working for a trash collection business" "on May 13 and May 14 2015". But there is no proof of him working at PCM or Unity on May 13 or 14.

Today, Darrell testifies "that on the day authorities say the killer broke into the Savopoulos house, he was at a friend’s home watching a homemade music video, then he went to pick up his 5-year-old son from school in Takoma Park."

Oct. 17, 2018 — Day 18
In court Monday afternoon, Det. Darryl Richmond, with D.C. police, testified Darrell Wint initially told police he was working on May 13 and May 14 2015 — during the time the four victims were taken captive and later tortured and killed. Darrell Wint told police he was working at both PCM Services, a construction company, and Unity Disposal, a trash collection company.

However, neither company had records of Darrell Wint working those days. The trash disposal company said Darrell was working May 12, but not May 13. PCM records indicate Darrell was hired to do a painting job but his orientation wasn't until May 15.

In court, Darrell Wint told the jury that on the day authorities say the killer broke into the Savopoulos house, he was at a friend’s home watching a homemade music video, then he went to pick up his 5-year-old son from school in Takoma Park. He said the two played football in a park. “That was our routine,” he said.

But Darrell Wint said he couldn’t remember where he was on the night of May 13 into the morning of May 14, when the victims, police say, were held hostage. “I can’t say where I was then,” he said.
[...]
Pipe also pressed him about where he was on May 13. He told her he could not remember. But Pipe reminded him that after his brother’s arrest, he told homicide detectives he was working for a trash collection business.

He’s a big man, hmmm. Yes, 6’2”

Maybe DarrW Goo goes to “deliver something” to the front door and VF answers while SW goes to the back door. This has been my belief.

His alibis are like Swiss cheese.

IMO, Darrell lives by "close enough" so if he told Investigator that he was working for a garbage collection service on Monday (but it was actually Tuesday); and worked a painting job on Thursday (but actually worked Friday), it's sufficient for his truth. I also believe Darrell reserves many days for his distribution business, and intentionally kept the whereabouts that he testified to from the Investigator to keep others out of his business. I don't believe he participated in the planning or actual murders, but had knowledge after the fact --and still patting himself on the back for cooperating with investigation. I was more troubled that the Prosecution called him for rebuttal than I was his testimony! MOO

I don't know anyone's number. I have everyone identified by name on my phone If I were given a list of actual phone numbers, without names, no way would I be able to identify more than one or two (and those only because they are out of state with different area codes).

Daron's van gets towed from DC to MD late afternoon on May 14.
Yet, "on the evening of May 14" "Darrell Wint said Daron Wint directed him to an industrial area off Kenilworth Avenue in Prince George's County because he said his van had run out of gas".

kenilworth ave dc to lanham md is 10 miles

Questions regarding May 14:
How/when did Daron's van supposedly get to Kenilworth Ave from MD after the earlier tow?
After supposedly putting gas in the van later that evening, did Daron then drive the van, or did Daron get back in Darrell's car and leave the van in DC?

He said Daron Wint got out of his car, walked out of view and returned minutes later. Darrell Wint said he noticed smoke billowing nearby.
He said “something looked suspect,” but he never asked any questions.

Elsewhere in testimony, Darrell Wint told jurors he met up with his brother, Daron Wint, on the evening of May 14 — several hours after the fire at the Savopoulos house — to make a trip to Walmart. Darrell Wint was due to start a painting job the next day, and he needed to buy painter's pants and other supplies, he said.

Later that night, Darrell Wint said Daron Wint directed him to an industrial area off Kenilworth Avenue in Prince George's County because he said his van had run out of gas. Daron Wint carried a bucket full of gas off into the dark along with a bag, Darrell Wint told jurors. A few minutes later, Daron Wint returned — but without the bag, and when Darrell drove away, he said he saw smoke.

Darrell Wint testified the incident didn't sit right with him.

"It just seemed suspect to me," he said. Despite having plans to meet up the next day, Darrell Wint said that never happened.

"I didn't like the vibes that I caught the night before," Darrell Wint told jurors.

Prosecutors say Darrell Wint later took police to the spot where he drove his brother on May 14, where they found burned debris. The location is also near where Daron Wint's van was found set ablaze a few days later.

After killings in Savopoulos mansion, traffic cameras tracked family’s stolen Porsche through DC | WTOP
Later that afternoon, traffic cameras also picked up images of a white tow truck heading into D.C. from Lanham. Prosecutors said Wint flagged down the tow truck and requested a ride into D.C. He wanted to pick up a blue van, which was parked near 24th and K streets in downtown D.C., and wanted it towed back to Lanham. Traffic cameras first captured the tow truck solo, heading into D.C. at New York and Montana avenues, at 2:25 p.m. on May 14.

About an hour later — at 3:41 p.m. — traffic cameras showed the tow truck, with the blue van hitched to the back, at New York Avenue and Bladensburg Road, heading back into Maryland.

Yes, but those numbers would show up with names in phones of most people, just like you. And me. Who wants to talk to spammers and scammers ?

It sounded like he was shown a list of numbers, from the account I read. I dunno, I'm probably misinterpreting that.

Any footage of the drive from Kenilworth Ave DC back to Maryland?

Why would DW’s van run out of gas? He allegedly had four hundred $100. bills. That would buy a lot of gas.
