Yes, I can see this too! My husband is a LEO and he works those swing shifts. If he’s working 12hr 5pm-6am shifts back to back he’s literally not doing anything for days but sleep and then work. Make family functions he’s missed because he had to sleep for work. Jmo and experience.
My phone really misspelled everything lol
5pm-5am shift*
many* instead of make.
I think you guys got it though, it was bugging me lol.

This debt theory makes no sense to me. Who is supposed to be terrified by these murders, if no one knows of any debt?

ITA. I also think that if either parent was the type of gambler that incurred murder-worthy debt (i.e. needing to borrow large sums from shady sources), other casino regulars would be aware of it. The casino itself would be aware of it. If someone is losing large amounts of money at a casino, it gets noticed. I think if that was the case, we’d be hearing it from multiple sources. Jmo.

RE: Septic tank. It is possible they had a HOLDING tank vs mound or traditional septic. These simply hold waste, don't process it. They need to be pumped fairly often, could even be monthly depending on the size.

They are much cheaper to install than traditional septic tanks. They aren't ideal, but I have seen other homes with them. It isn't insanely uncommon.
That sounds like a massive pain. I've never heard of those. I think where I live you must have an actual septic tank by law.

This is pure speculation and more to do with *potential* psychological insight —

In one of the videos by police (on Facebook) it was stated that last year the mom had posts up about Jayme. Lovely post, but I noticed they said last year. What about the last 10-12 months?? What’s been going on? Also, there weren’t many current photos of Jayme available. Just a recent school photo. I don’t always post to fb and maybe the mom wasn’t that into it, but perhaps things changed within the family dynamic to cause her to engage in sm less. Perhaps the mom didn’t talk about her daughter much to give her privacy. Or perhaps, her daughter’s brain was scrambled due to puberty and they had some issues (not a judgement — it’s 90% common at this age and teens always come back around) This family are victims 100% but perhaps there was something going on, maybe online, that friends and family weren’t aware of.

Something does seem “off” to me. That’s all I can say (tos) but this murder and disappearance is due to either complete randomness or the answer is right under the LE’s nose. I don’t have a good feeling about the outcome this AM. ),; Please God, Let me be wrong.
Maybe there was a reason to post less on FB because of some concerns, but when my kids were that age, they asked me not to post photos of them on FB (unless they "approved" it, lol). jmo

I'm sure they have given it to LE. Most companies have strict policies against giving out employee info such as schedules to the public/press.

Do we know if Jennie-O requires random drug tests for their employees? Otherwise, I'm not sure how James would know that about the employee to "squeal". And just a reminder (I know you didn't say this) but we still have not confirmed he was in management or any position where he would be able to fire anyone.
I’m confident that as large a company as Jennie-O is they would have random drug testing.

This. I know a bunch of kids Jayme's age and a bit older, including members of my own family, that don't want their photos out on any social media. I also know families that don't post much about their kids for privacy reasons... maybe the Closs' valued their privacy online.

Ok for a cabin but pumping is expensive. Over $200 a time? Or what is the cost there?

Perhaps it's been mentioned, but I suspect LE and the FBI know who Jayme's with - they just don't know where she is.

If they have the perp's description and/or identity and he is alive they will eventually find him (and Jayme, if she is still alive and in his possession). If LE is under even the remote assumption that she is alive, they will bide their time until he is located and close in on him silently.

They won't publicly disclose the perp's description or identity because it wouldn't do Jayme any favors; rather, it would tip the perp off with the knowledge that if LE had managed to obtain his identity it would indicate his capture would be imminent. The disclosure of that information and the perp's knowledge of it would, of course, increase Jayme's risk of meeting an unhappy ending.

IMO, unless some clue pops up as to her whereabouts, I don't think there's much here that anyone can do other than speculate who took her and if LE already knows the perp's identity then it would be pointless. It is also unlikely that LE would publicly release his identity unless they find Jayme deceased, making futher speculation about the evidence they removed from the home also pointless (they won't release information they gathered from that, either). It goes without mentioning that if the perp reads forums that could turn things into a double-edged sword. My guess though is that he's keeping an eye on MSM for newly-released information. Would he dare the use of a mobile device to browse the web? I think not....definitely not his own, and not unless he wanted to risk sauntering into a Walmart and paying cash for a Tracfone. The dude does seem brazen enough to do it, and if he's as reliant on the Internet and social media as most people, he might think a baseball cap, stubby facial hair and frumpy shoes would suffice as a disguise.

Having said that, I'll leave it to the mods to decide whether my suspicions have any merit (I was very ambivalent about posting, but how else to get my message across?), and if so, whether to remove my post or even allow the discussion to continue....it might do more harm than good.

I'm just so worried for Jayme, and am concerned that with aggressive sleuthing, close-to-accurate details might become too public, hit too close to home with the perp and bring harm to Jayme and the investigation. There is a chance she's alive.

This probably explains it then. It says holding tank pumped. I wasn't aware there are different types of septic systems.
A holding tank would need to be pumped every few weeks to monthly from what I can see online. I'm going with the theory that they had a regular septic system that they had trouble with.

People do try to put off replacement as long as possible because the average Joe doesn't have 12-16K on hand to shell out.

Thanks, Gardener1850. This still from the video (below) shows an overhead view of the back of the house that I hadn’t seen before.

And from this video at the 37 second mark you can see the side of the house with that deck. Screenshot attached.

What if:

Killer takes Jayme for the simplest reason - he is out of ammo? Multiple rounds spent. He simply hasn’t got the bullet to do her in and she’s a witness. So he grabs her.

Sure he could have killed her another way (suffocate?) (break neck?) but those things take time and he may not be experienced in either so he panics and snatches her to deal with later on?

It doesn’t seem the correct answer in my head but stranger things have happened I’m sure.

ours gets pumped every 3 years at the cabin upnorth.

I had never heard of them either. I did research at the time, in our county you needed a special permit/approval from the health officer with proof that it was a temporary solution or that your soil was incompatible with regular septic. The house we were looking at was a remodeled ancient schoolhouse, so it was a weird situation. They had just remodeled it and were hoping to pawn it off on someone willing to put in the cost for septic.

I don't know if this would be what the Closs's had, just my random thought on the situation! Regular septic tanks should NOT need to be pumped that often. It is usually between 200-300 a pump unless you have a connection.

There’s a whole generation scarred by SM!
