Were Tina Kemp and Melinda Creech ever ruled out?

A few possibilities: Sophia Moreno Herrera is Hispanic but all her other demographics match http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/m/moreno_sophia.html. Her husband is thought to be involved in her disappearance. Very little information available for Eva Ridall http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/r/ridall_eva.html, Sharon Harrer http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/h/harper_sharon.html, Vicki Martinez http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/m/martinez_vicki.html, or Marcia Remick http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/r/remick_marcia.html. Maybe a bit old at 23, but one I'm really considering is Arrilla Webb-Vaul http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/w/webb-vaul_arrilla.html. She's listed as being 5'1" tall and 100 pounds, having blonde hair and blue-gray eyes, and has been missing from Bossier Parish since March 1979.

Maybe Ida "Faye" Bosco http://identifyla.lsu.edu/profile.php?id=509? She was 23, had two children, and was a bit taller than the estimated height range but the rest of her demographics are fairly close and the timeline works. I can see a resemblance between Faye and RPJD's composite, side-by-sides: Ida Faye Basco.pngRapides Parish Jane Doe.jpg.

Interesting... and she does not yet have a NAMUS missing person page , at least judging by a name/state search.....

Yes, I thought it was interesting that there was no investigative agency listed because the family submitted her case themselves. I'm guessing that she wasn't reported missing until recently, possibly because nobody would take the report due to the specific circumstances surrounding her life at the time until years had passed with no contact.

Uhm no, the estimated postmortem interval ruled out her profile! ;)

Were Tina Kemp and Melinda Creech ever ruled out?

Wow, contacted LSU and they already answered! Wish all contacts were this responsive.

Reply:

We are currently working on getting DNA for LSU 85-05. Once a sufficient profile is generated, Melinda Creech will be compared.

Submitted Sallie Reed, it will probably be difficult to rule her in or out at the moment because fingerprints are the only identifier she currently has available which could not be taken from RPJD due to the condition her body was in when it was discovered.

Circumstances:
Partial skeletal remains of a small woman or girl were found by a hunter in a wooded area off Nichols Cemetery Road near Gardner. Dt Hilton stated the body appeared to have been there for about 2 years. The remains were scattered over a wide area a pair of wool socks and wad of hair was found nearby. Dr. Owsley Forensic anthropologist stated the remains have been there 6 mths to 2-1/2 years (1980-1977) probably looking at something that happened in the last 1-1/2 years. Owlsey also noted the body had bony abnormalities in which could help lead to an identification. LSU Forsenic pathologist determined the woman had an unusual feature a mid-line suture running from the apex of her skull to the top of her nose (Unfused metopic suture).

Remains of a dog found close by, the dog had been shot, the shooter was later identified however it is not known if the dog belonged to the victim or was feeding off her body. No cause of death has been established for the UID.

During this time frame there were a few serial killers active in Louisiana; Henry Lee Lucas whom was later interviewed LE determined Lucas was not connected to the case. LE placed Robert Charles Browne in Central Louisiana around the time of the woman’s death and had requested to speak with Browne. At the time Browne was under a gag order, it is unclear if LE had the opportunity to interview Browne. Robert Carl Hohenberger was also active primarily in the area of Morgan City, LA in early 1978, he died of a gunshot womb June 1978 in Tacoma, Washington.
