I was skewered a few threads ago when I suggested that he might be a good father.
I am sorry that happened to you. I skip so much at this point (no real new info and hashing out the same ideas again and again) so I did not see that or I like to think I’d have backed you up. Not necessarily b/c I would agree, but because I don’t think we can possibly know. Either way, you should not be vilified for an opinion. I get very frustrated with the mindset that he is pure evil and it is evident in every aspect of his being - in any of these cases, though, not just this one.

Sorry, that is probably OT. But I do think WS is about as good as it gets for internet sleuthing/crime sites. I love that info discussed must be verified.

Also, from descriptions, sounds like cell reception is spotty in the Cripple Creek area. Not sure if that would mean anything or not, as far as cell tower pinging. But if PF was ballsy enough to ditch a body out there in the daytime, I suppose it could have been on his way to or from doing a job with the others asses, eh-hem, I mean donkeys.

@retiredrickyinCO do the pull offs have much coverage? Or would drivers there be very exposed to passerby’s?
Forest Service side roads can lead you to spot all kinds of nice deep gullies and places.

I know so little about farming and rodeos and all that non city stuff. I have a question about these rodeos he competed in. They interviewed a friend of his who had known him for years. A rodeo guy. This individual gave him positive reviews and knew him quite well--but had never met Kelsey. When someone competes, is it common for family members to attend?

I think so, am not that familiar with the rodeo circuit, but do have friends who live in NV, and attend many of their grandson's events in ID, NV, OR and WA.

How about when you get to the intersection in Divide just past the Teller County Jail?
If you take that left there to get to Cripple Creek there are some sheer cliffs off that road. Many times they close it during the winter. If I am not mistaken they found a male body right on that road in the past couple of years. Some tourist stopped to take pictures and her son ran up into the trees and there it was.
Hgwy 67 is pretty but can be hairy!
Yes, actually most roads, including the freeways can be closed due to snow storms here in CO. They have big gates that go across the road and you do not travel on that road when closed. But the roads are opened once the road is plowed. And they always do their best to keep hwy 67, the main road to Cripple Creek open year round as the casinos are there and the state wants its money. So Hwy 67 gets opened right away if it gets closed. 3 mountain towns that were mining towns then turned almost into ghost towns after the mining stopped are the towns in CO that have legalized gambling. This was to bring new life into those old historic towns. They include Cripple Creek which is outside Colorado Springs 40-50 miles and Blackhawk and Central City which are outside Denver probably less than 25 miles. Now some roads, like the one over Independence Pass, closes when the first major snow hits and is not reopened until the Spring.

Would this honestly make him a good catch? I'm having a hard time thinking another woman, his age, early 30's, would find it appealing he had a small child whose mother is not in the picture. But others have said the same, not just you.

No, lots of women think that a guy who is a “good dad” is sexy AF. I have friends who think there is nothing more appealing than a guy with a baby or a puppy. My ex is diagnosed with a variety of mental health issues including antisocial personality disorder (sociopathy) and he is a narcissist. He is 40 and aging like old leftovers... he is horrible looking. His face currently resembles bread dough that collapsed after rising. But the number of women willing to date him when he uses photos of my kid and her little sister on his dating profile is astounding.

I imagine that since this was preplanned, PF would have used a method which would have left no evidence (Chris Watts method of killing Shanann). I think something went wrong (Kelsey got loose), and PF had to use another method which left a lot of evidence. No one who plans a murder wants to use a method which leaves more evidence than a method that leaves no evidence.

Smart post. I do not assume that violent crime scene = copious amounts of blood, or painting or drywalling. I wonder if she was murdered in the loft. Whatever happened, we have not been told of screaming, which implies sudden stunning. People tend to use what they know, like nurses who murder with drugs. How about a cattle bolt?
I saw an article with a brief statement from an FBI source that said evidence of homicide (in KB's home) and that matches with the Woodland police of believing KB is deceased (and length of time.) In general, LE is saying without saying, what they have collected is not survivable when all is put together with the evidence and complete/possible witnesses, jmo.

A few years back I left home here in desert Texas, in early June, to do business in Crested Butte, Colorado. It was 110*f. 14 hours later I was throwing snowballs at my kids on Cottonwood Pass with 4-5 foot snow drifts pushed up around me on the roadside....LOL !

Oh no, NOT a good catch for those of us that have half a brain :) But if you can get women writing letters swearing their undying love for people like Paul Bernardo and Chris Watts, it's really not a stretch. IMHO

They have no coverage and so you would not be able to hide. It is just a bump out of the road where you can pull off and take pics or let other drivers pass kind of like a little baby shoulder but not very long. The main road to Cripple Creek is Hwy 67 which breaks off Hwy 24 and heads south around Divide which is roughly half way between Woodland Park and Florissant. And that road, Hwy 67, has a fair amount of traffic due to the casinos in Cripple Creek. Buses are on that road at all hours. But there are a ton of little rarely used roads all around the area, many of them dirt, that only locals would know of and they have the deep ravines as well. Maybe if the weather is nice after the first of the year I will take my drones up there and get pics and videos to post. But a lot of places, just off the side of the road can be straight down a thousand feet or more. This is why many people actually get sick when they first go up those roads as some of these places when they look over their shoulder it is straight down.

All it takes is time. 7 years without evidence of being alive is all he needs. Add to that a case where police determine she is dead, but there's enough evidence to provide reasonable doubt to a jury (the cellphone in ID) and he may have motive to kill her.
I think the Woodland police indicated KB was considered deceased and that would be based on 1) DNA of evidence in the home, 2) amount of blood and tissue, and 3) possible witness confirmation and other evidence confirming. It is really unusual for LE to come outright like they did and state that she is believed to be deceased just after a month without firm evidence and to make an immediate arrest. They also for some reason stated they have limited the location of where she is located which is beyond unusual.
We will have to see on that one.

Yes!!! And cheer them on. I would expect this person to have met Kelsey. She liked horses. Why would she not be around his rodeo buddies?

We love horses but don’t go to most rodeo type things. Not everyone loves watching western gaming, and some people think it’s not super kind to the animals (not necessarily the horse) that are being made to participate.

It would be too obvious to suggest life insurance, wouldn’t it?

That's my thought. Life insurance for her daughter? If something was to happen to KB atleast her little girl would financially benefit. It makes sense for parents to do that.

I take it you're no longer attracted to him. lOL
I love your description of him.

That doesn’t really work for me.

He was trying to sell the story that she left on her own. If she is out there, roaming the country, then there is no way to collect insurance.

That’s if it even existed, and he was a beneficiary, which is doubtful to begin with.

See! Now I didn't even think of that! @MassGuy...you are smart . Alright, life insurance is off the table for me at this point.

If sympathy (and Go Fund Me payoff) was what he was after, he would have attended press conferences, and appealed for his fiancé’s return. MOO
True enough, but there will always be his supporters, his family and circle of friends that will still believe he is innocent and deserving of compassion. Even on this forum the legal eagles have said that remaining silent is his right. I don't think he's deserving of anything but life in prison if he did this and personally, I have no doubt. MHO.

I'm happy the judge denied LE's attempt to enforce a gag order. They have a lot of explaining to do surrounding their initial response to Kelsey's disappearance. Starting out with why they misled the public that PF was cooperating when he wasn't. Sad how its come to this. LE requesting gag orders to protect themselves from criticism. Good on the judge for refusing to do it.
