Peihuang Weng, 80, was last seen leaving his family's home in the 4000 block of Wilkie Way, about a block north of West Meadow Drive, around 11 a.m. for the Mitchell Park Library about a mile away, police said in a news release. He has not returned home since then.
Weng is around 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighs about 115 pounds and has black and gray hair and brown eyes, police said. He was last seen wearing a gray baseball hat, gray jacket, dark green pants and brown shoes. Weng speaks Chinese and a limited amount of English.
The 80-year-old man wears a name tag around his neck with his name and family's contact information, according to police.
Neighboring police agencies have been notified of the missing person. Anyone who has information on Weng's whereabouts is asked to call 911 and to keep an eye on him before officers reach the scene.
