Wow...it's been almost a week and there is so little information. So many questions...does she have a vehicle? Or did she leave on foot? Leave with friends? Does she have a cell phone? Was it pinged? Her FB indicates she has a job. Has she been showing up for work?

I hope this young lady is found safe very soon!

A Prescott, Ark., woman who was reported missing in December 2016 still hasn't been found, authorities say.
Mercedes Toliver, 18, was last seen at her residence in Prescott about 2 a.m. Dec. 17, 2016, according to Prescott Police Chief Joey Beavers.
"We have zero new leads. The case has gone severely cold," he said.
The woman left with the clothes on her back, Beavers said.

Toliver is an African-American woman about 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing about 115 pounds.
Toliver was last seen wearing a yellow shirt and pink sleep pants.

Prescott Missing Persons Case Still Not Solved 2 Years Later

The family of a local teen who disappeared nearly two years ago is reaching out on social media hoping for clues to her disappearance.

Earlier this week, a cousin of Mercedes Zaevon Toliver's posted a plea for help in the case.

"It seems as if everyone has just forgotten about her. But I can’t let that happen. When she first went missing, they had leads. People saying she was seen in Clark or Lafayette County, but those stories were quickly changed when questioned by authorities."

A Prescott, Ark., woman who was reported missing Dec. 27, 2016, still hasn't been found.

Mercedes Toliver, 18, was last seen at her residence in Prescott about 2 a.m. Dec. 17, 2016, according to Prescott Police Chief Joseph Beavers.

"It's still open and she is still missing. We have her on our website. We have absolutely nothing. We want to maintain hope, but it's one of those things where we have absolutely nothing," Beavers said.

"The woman left with the clothes on her back," Beavers said.

Mercedes Toliver’s goal in life was to be in the Air Force. In 2016, the 18-year-old had just graduated from Prescott High School in her hometown of Arkansas, and spent her summer studying for the ASVAB test in Kansas where her cousin worked at McConnell Air Force Base.

“She was determined to do something great,” Mercedes’ cousin, Vontrice Flemons, told Dateline. “She wanted to prove that she could be somebody.”

Prescott Police Chief Joseph Beavers told Dateline the case is still open and they are looking into all tips they receive, but said they haven’t had any leads in some time.

"We had some leads early on -- within the first month -- and past that everything dropped off,” Chief Beavers said. “We haven't received leads at the police department in quite some time.”

Chief Beavers said they worked with the Arkansas State Police to track Mercedes’ cell phone, but were not able to locate it. He said they were concerned because Mercedes had not used her cell phone or been on social media.
