AL - Marco Perez, 19, faked own death, fatally shot Ofc. Sean Tuder, Mobile, 31 Dec 2018

Since he is now accused of killing a police officer his wonderful (sarcasm) mommy should be tried as an accessory to murder. She helped him get away and hide, she deserves to be held on additional charges related to the police officer. MOO JMO

Hi everyone! Should I change the title or keep it as originally posted?

I think this will be difficult but maybe a lawyer can chime in.

Video of Officer Tuder also searching for Marco two days before he (Tuder, obviously) was ultimately killed. (Perez was there then also)

He couldn't force entry at the time without a warrant. Which then they got and he returned with.

Perez was inside for about two hours and is seen on camera leaving just two minutes after the officers do.

A man accused of fatally shooting a Mobile police officer received a sentence of more than four years on a federal gun charge.

Chief U.S. District Judge Kristi DuBose sentenced Marco Antonio Perez, 19, to four years and three months for receiving stolen firearms, to be followed by three years on supervised release. She also ordered him to undergo mental health treatment and drug and alcohol abuse treatment.

Perez entered a “blind” plea on the federal charge earlier this year, meaning prosecutors made no agreement to recommend a specific sentence.

Perez faces a capital murder charge in the Tuder shooting and could get the death penalty if convicted. The case awaits action by a grand jury.

Mobile prosecutors are seeking the death penalty against the man accused of murdering Police Officer Sean Tuder in January.

In court papers filed Tuesday, Mobile County prosecutors said there are two aggravating circumstances that warrant the death penalty against suspect Marco Perez: that the victim was a police officer and that Perez allegedly committed the killing to prevent his arrest. Perez is facing multiple charges, including capital murder.

Marco Antonio Perez is scheduled to be sentenced on Monday. Prosecutors indicated they intend to seek a 25-year prison sentence by stacking the maximum penalty for the two counts he was convicted of plus an enhancement based on the fact that Perez committed the crimes while out on conditions of release while facing a federal charge.
