Sometimes I'm like, 'Why does this guy look so familiar? Like someone I've known forever?' And then the other day I decided something about him reminds me of a grown up version of the kid who played Wally on Leave It To Beaver.

He does look like "Wally"!

Overview for Tony Dow

Patrick went missing in 1997. The UID found in 2018 (MH/BB) had excellent teeth...with a lot of recent dental work... So crowns, root canals, removal of wisdom teeth... they change your dental print. Over 20 years time, not only do teeth drift but the actual shape of one's gums, palate, and bite lines change. Getting a dental match that could be used as a determining factor for Pat and MH isn't likely.

MOO: Matching MH/BB's dentals to any other dental records would be very hard if MH's dental work really was that recent and that grand.

Where did you see that MH/BB had a lot of recent dental work? I only recall that his teeth were in excellent condition but perhaps I am forgetting about the dental work.

But doesn’t the overall “position” of teeth stay the same? I can’t imagine that would drastically change over time unless you have a very unhealthy lifestyle, suffer from certain diseases and/or have extremely bad hygene.
I can’t remember reading that MH had extensive and recent dental work done either, but if that was the case where would Patrick have gotten the money to do so while staying off the grid?
Personally, I see a resemblance in their appearances but overall I think there are too many discrepancies for them to be the same person.
Nevertheless, I’m glad you called it in (I’m hardly an expert) and am eager to hear what the lead investigator in Patrick’s case thinks!

I am working on a solid answer to this question. It's in my notes and I don't take notes from the 'other' forum sites. So it's either from a MSM, WS, or speaking to a detective.

I also wish to reiterate that as far as Pat is concerned, he simply hasn't been ruled out. That doesn't mean anyone is currently convinced that BB is Patrick, so we should all keep looking for answers as to who Ben Bilemy really is. It's simply a possibility, nothing more until the anthropological autopsy is complete and DNA matches are available.

Ok I'm here with my notes.
In November 2018 I called the Collier County detective. I had 3 goals.
1. Submit a lead for an unofficial MP that went to high school in West Virginia and give him the info I found in case he wanted to follow up on it.
2. Submit a second possible lead by ultimately asking him if he had the local highschool yearbooks dating back to 1990 (they commonly do for ID purposes) and asking him to look up 1 specific person to see if he could be a match.
3. Cover some questions or possible discrepancies about physical characteristics and the items he was found or not found with.

I call with notes on hand to help be efficient and take additional notes during the conversation... they are more fragmented. Those notes from the conversation include:

Prelim-Autopsy -not yet complete, 83 weight taken by coroner, dental care/not transient like, confirmed no tatoos, can NOT confirm he had all organs, etc, etc,
Full Autopsy-several months longer to finish, estimate weight during life, determination on linear scar, date and specify all dental work, identify previous injuries, previous surgeries, etc, etc.

To the best of my knowledge that is where I came up with 'date all of the dental work'. It is MOO that any dental work likely included things like fillings, root canals, crowns, or removal of wisdom teeth... all average dental work for a man in his early to mid 40's, all of which can be connected to a changing bite imprint

It was the detective in Jerome that suggested that dentals wouldn't be a great determiner, due mostly to the fact that so much time has passed since Pat's disappearance and the UID was alive and well and it seems had dental care, therefore a lot could change as far as a dental imprint. He was confident in saying that DNA would be reliable, but in this situation dentals could be questionable.

Additionally if the pre or anthro autopsy states MH had his appendix, the Jerome Detective could then rule out Patrick.

It is my hope that the Jerome detective is checking to see if the preliminary autopsy gives an absolute about the appendix.

This report states that the preliminary autopsy was finished and it was written 12/28/2018

https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.naplesnews.com/amp/24245

So I'm hoping the detective in Jerome finds out for sure, and includes the info in the return email.

Both DNA and dental available.

If Patrick did decide to just leave home it sounds like he was well traveled and I find it very possible he could have found himself working in NY, saving up enough money for a few months off.

It’s noted below “Disproportionate upper to lower body ratio” Is there a full photo of Patrick anywhere? I’d like to see how he was disproportionate.

The scar- the same. Even if it’s not him he should be looked into. Being antisocial doesn’t mean unable to have some ability to be social. And our UID certainly spent time alone. It’s long shot, but I think a great find...

You are correct, it is his sister. The family is familiar with Websleuths. I told the Jerome Detective I'd wait a while to hear back from him before I posted here. If I dont hear back tomorrow, I will post what I believe is Ok. I sent the detective some links pertaining to MH in the email and reflected back to him what I understood him to be saying about Patrick. I just want to make sure I'm understanding everything before I post (as a courtesy.) I'm not trying insinuate any insider info as it is just his thoughts and perspectives on Patrick's case and a few additional details. I initially left a message for Detective Rubink, but it was Detective Baker that called me back. He has been with the Jerome Dept for 31 years and said he knew Patrick personally. He said he is the new lead in Patrick's case. I wanted to wait to mention the call till I got an email back, but with the repost of Patrick's case to this thread, I felt I needed to tell you all. And I hope you understand why I'm waiting.

And I think it's a great find too, (by dotr) Whether it pans out or not, it really has me thinking about a lot...

Like casinos in Louisiana and New York, and how some people are able to stay off the radar. And other stuff too.

Very informative podcast from the Collier County Sheriff Department.

What were the autopsy findings as to cause of death?

We know from this podcast he was found in a semi-upright position with eyes wide open. He has notebooks filled with coding and ideas for video games he was writing. and he had a large amount of cash. But where was his pack?

Great find! Looks like there are three podcasts about him plus the trailer that has the 911 call from when he was found.

I did shoot off an email to town hall today. I used the esculent of wanting to clarify info I gave her as a way to remind her I’m still here, still waiting.lol
I was really hoping to get a name. I was hoping to be able todo some searching around, hopefully be able to confirm the name a bit before passing it on.
If I don’t get word back today I may just call Collier County and put them in touch with town hall. What do you all think??

When you do put them in touch with each other eventually, I would explain to the sheriff that we know he was there at the same time as those two men and that they already checked the records for Ben Bilemy and were unable to locate records under that name. That will give them a target to search and make the whole process easier

The Podcast is excellent.

Not a Recap but My personal takeaways...
1)medical examiner said no cavities
2)still no mention about the appendix
3)a picture in my head of the timeline
4)he is really described the way I have imagined him being
5) he was near an Indian reservation
6)the code he had written was mostly about gaming-confirmed
7)had plenty of money-confirmed again.
8)nobody on the podcast said anything about the backpack?... note to self:check podcast again for any mention of the backpack?
8)no mention that Ben bilemiy means "I dunno" in some slang Turkish so that is still unconfirmed on my list despite Google Translator recognizing it.

Just personal takeaways. It's nicely done. I think I will pass it on.

Why won't anyone mention the backpack?

Edited to add: I really want to know if he had a toothbrush also! Was he still taking care of his teeth? Was there a toothbrush, but no backpack? Like did he ditch the pack and keep a toothbrush?

I have read again and again that they listed ALL the items he was found with and the backpack isn’t on the list.
I’m going to guess it was outside of his tent and someone took it prior to him being discovered deceased. I’ve seen suggestions that maybe he stashed it before he got to the site. That’s not really working for me. I’m figuring it would be way easier to carry the pack with the items he needed than to carry the tent, sleeping bag, notebooks, and poles loose. I could be totally wrong but that’s where I’m at with it.
Off to try and listen to the podcast.
