last place he was seen was a mobile home on creek bed lane duncansville, pa 16635, when his brother ans cousin dropped him off there.

The search team is meeting at 10:00 this morning. So far they have contacted the SAR Council who is waiting for an invite from LE who do not seem to be too concerned about the case. I gather PSP did not even know he was missing. They have a news crew coming to film the volunteer search team. The group is doing all that can be expected from a small grass roots volunteer group. I gave them a lot of pointers to get started as well as a few comments on preserving evidence. Thoughts and prayers are with them as they head out this morning.

From what I have seen, SAR teams could not join the search today because their calls to the police chief went unanswered.

YES THAT IS CORRECT, LOCAL LE DOES KNOW MATTHEW AND THAT HIS IS MISSING. AND YES WE HAVE BEEN LEAD TO BELIEVE THAT HE COULD BE IN DANGER. WE HAVE GOTTEN SEVERAL TIPS AND US AS WELL AS LE HAS BEEN FOLLOWING UP ON EACH AND EVERY ONE. MORE SO THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS HAVE, WITH NO LUCK. WE JUST KEEP SEARCHING AND PRAYING.

1CRZYAZZCO, did Matthew suffer from depression or recently have an event in his life that could cause him to be depressed? And while I hate to ask this, did he have any substance abuse issues? I am asking because these could lead to him checking himself into a facility on a PA 201 voluntary commitment and the facility is not permitted to inform family and friends under HIPPAA laws. Just one of the many questions we may be asking to help narrow the field of possible reasons he went missing.

MATTHEW WAS RAISED BY HIS GRANDMOTHER FROM THE TIME HE WAS 2 WEEKS OLD, SHE WAS RECENTLY PUT INTO A NURSING HOME FOR HEALTH REASONS AND IN TURN MATTHEW BASICALLY BECAME HOMELESS. AND YES HE DOES STRUGGLE WITH SUBSTANCE ABUSE. HE WAS BORN ADDICTED TO COCAINE DUE TO HIS MOTHER AND WHEN MATTHEW HAD A SEVERE ACCIDENT 4 YEARS AGO HE BECAME ADDICTED TO PAIN PILLS AND ITS BEEN A DOWNWARD SPIRAL OF STRUGGLE WITH SUBSTANCES SINCE.

1CRZYAZZCO, this is unsettling. Three scenarios are possible at this point. One, he is missing outside and/or with unknown parties and needs to be found. Two, he could not deal with not having his Grandmothers support...you have two waterways, one on either side of the search area. These need to be checked ASAP. Third, there is a legal angle. It appears their "may" be a Bedford County bench warrant out for him, and why LE may be reacting the way they are. You should really check into that out and verify one way or the other. I am hesitant to put any of this on the FB page as I don't want to discourage the search group. Your call.
