Found Deceased CA - Brooke Harris, 49, El Dorado Hills, El Dorado County, 14 Feb 2019

Not sure if I’m allowed to post this so delete if needed , husband has updated his profile photo to show wife and dog ? Presume a recent photo , so who’s been feeding dog if nobody at home for a few days ... if that’s the reason for not reporting until 17th

Valentines Day...not meeting hubby? I know there is no info on their last conversation, but would assume her plans would be with him. IMO
Her husband is a fireman - that's the kind of job like LE or EMS where you don't always get holidays off and shifts are often long. I was in my 40's before I ever had Christmas Eve AND Christmas off.

makes sense. I was asking because there doesn’t seem to be any information about when she was missed. Was she supposed to be meeting someone and didn’t turn up? or was she just out and about and simply did not come home? We know she called her husband that day but then was not heard from after that. I thought perhaps she missed an appointment of some kind since her husband reported her missing that day.

I will have to research and clarify, but local news this morning said that her husband reported her missing Valentine’s Day. Not sure if that is accurate.

EL DORADO HILLS, Calif. (KCRA) —
Sheriff’s investigators are looking for an El Dorado Hills mom who has been missing for four days.

Brooke Harris disappeared on Valentine’s Day, and no one has seen or heard from her since then.

Harris, 49, was last spotted at Red Hawk Casino in Placerville on Feb. 14, according to Sgt. Anthony Prencipe, an El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson.

“We located video surveillance at Red Hawk security in the parking structure on the 14th at about 4:30 p.m.," Prencipe said.

He said the video shows “her apparently alone in her vehicle at the casino."

That vehicle is described as a 2015 gray Toyota Highlander with California license plates 7KDC011.

Precipe said there is no video evidence that Harris ever entered the casino. She did, however, leave something important behind.

“We later found her cellphone in the residence,” Prencipe said. “There's no signs of foul play or anything like that at her home.”

Harris is described as being 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds, with blond hair and green eyes.

Brooke Harris has been missing since Valentine’s Day.
Her daughter last saw Harris the night of Feb. 13, Prencipe said. Harris spoke on the phone with her husband the next day, before she disappeared. There are no signs of any criminal activity.

El Dorado Hills residents said they are concerned for Harris’ safety.

“It's very sad, very shocking. I pray for the family,” said Christa King.

“I think everybody is very worried," King added. “We all hope for the best."

Harris previously worked as a registered nurse, and licensing records show she had some mental health issues in the past. It's not known if those issues are a factor in this case.

Sheriff's Office investigators are asking anyone who has seen Harris to call them at 530-621-6000.

El Dorado County Deputies Searching for Mother Missing Since Valentine’s Day

EL DORADO HILLS -- The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office is searching for a woman who has been missing since Valentine's Day.
Investigators say there is no evidence of foul play, but family and friends say the disappearance is very out of character.

Kasey Frey can’t help but worry for her dear friend Brooke Harris.
"I have known Brooke for two years through the dog rescue that I’m a board member of. She started volunteering for us. She is a very loving person," Frey said. "We had an immediate connection, an immediate friendship. But this is nothing I would ever have thought would have happened."

The 49-year-old was last seen on surveillance video at the Red Hawk Casino around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Her husband reported her missing that same day.

"Later on, her cell phone was found in her house. There was no evidence of foul play or any criminal activity inside of the house," El Dorado County Sheriff's Sergeant Anthony Prencipe said.
Now, investigators are asking for help in finding Harris, who is a wife and a mother of two.
She was last seen in her car -- a gray, 2015 Toyota Highlander with California plates.
"Just to check her welfare at this point," Prencipe said. "When a missing person is reported to us, we do everything that we can to find where they are."
If she is somewhere listening, her friends have a message for her.
"That we love her and we want her home," Frey said.
Anyone with information about Harris' whereabouts is asked to contact the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office.

I hate to say it, but this sounds like it could be another self-harm case. Reading the article that @jewelsmac posted above, they mentioned she had mental health issues in the past and aren't sure if it's related. Perhaps Valentine's Day was a little trigger for her for some reason. Poor lady- praying she is found safe and sound. My thoughts are with her husband and family.

And the shifts are commonly 24hrs long, meaning he could easily be working for 2-3 days without coming home. I don't know if that's the case here but it could be possible.

I agree, the vague reports of a last call to her husband on Valentine’s morning, leaving the phone at home and being spotted at the casino have me leaning towards voluntary missing because she was upset about something. Depending on how upset she was, I could definitely see this as a self-harm case.

If she was an abused person does it show online anywhere , like a record ? (Sorry I’m in uk so not sure what you can read about priors) thanks

It would only show as a criminal record for the person that inflicted abuse (on conviction.) There is no record that is publically available for the person on the receiving end of abuse. California domestic violence laws make it a crime to harm, or threaten to harm, an intimate partner. Common crimes of domestic violence in California include Penal Code 243(e)(1) "domestic battery" and Penal Cod 273.5 "inflicting corporal injury on an intimate partner".

Check out the California nursing license board (it’s public information) Her license was revoked a few years ago and the reasons and circumstances are laid out in the disciplinary report. Very sad story. I understand why she wasn’t with her husband on Valentine’s Day. Also, she just got her license reinstated earlier this month, so I would think she was in a better place when she disappeared.
