I find it highly unlikely they'd have had an affair. There is no way she'd have kept that from her friends

And then she came across him randomly on the night she went missing with no phone or anything

I think it's probably unlikely they had an affair. Her friends would probably know about him and the press would probably divulge that link.

However, he did live bearish to her. If I'd seen a youngish man walking around the neighborhood with a family then he offered to help me in a situation like Libby's, I wouldn't have thought twice about going with him.

If she was in his car, I imagine it was voluntarily, even if anything that might have happened after that was against her will.

In my opinion I don't feel as if she was that close to her friends, they haven't said much in statements, only at the beginning... They've disappeared off the radar.

They also left her after putting her in a taxi. In my mind I would not leave a girl, or anyone in fact, to get home by themselves, drunk, without a phone.

She may have arranged to meet PR after the club, by the bench. She wouldn't need a phone to do that. But she didn't get into the club, so he could've been working as the illegal taxi driver and coincidentally drove past and saw her on the bench. Maybe it went downhill from there.

Think the press went to them and would have been persistent. I had a boyfriend in my 20’s whose sister was killed in a local train crash. The press were like vultures, straight there, constant knocking at the family door, didn’t leave until they got the information about her, it was quite shocking.

TBF The newspapers who got the story are not high on morals.

If he really isn't involved why has his family said he gave her a lift? If he did actually give her a lift and he is saying he dropped her off surely the police would conform that was her last known sighting. Obviously we don't need to know the ins and outs but it would be helpful if police gave us a little more info.
Has he confirmed she was in the car?
Has he confirmed that was them in CCTV?
Did they find ant of her DNA in the car?
I know the police are probably doing the best the can but im so frustrated that we just haven't got anywhere yet

She would have to be pretty unlucky to fend off a penis flashing perv and THEN be abducted by someone else on the same night.

Yes just sounds too far-fetched to possibly be true but could just have happened.

He's an alleged perv.

I don't buy from public penis flasher to good Samaritan somehow.

Are we victim blaming here??

Not at all no. Yes it seems likely he had something to do with her disappearance but am just throwing another scenario in to the mix in case he is telling the truth and she did get out and he drove off.

I would imagine students have been warned not to talk to the press. She clearly had friends that wanted to share a house with her. Not would they want to I'd guess they must be distraught.

I'm reliably informed that licensed taxis in hull are like they are where I am and are tracked. Putting her in a licensed taxi is therefore safe and is evidenced by the fact it did take her safety home. They may well have tracked its progress to the door.

I just don't think their paths would have crossed. Don't forget he's been charged with some pretty creepy things so I'm not sure how attractive that would make him.

Been reading but new to posting, so hello to one and all.

Just a few points that have occurred:

- if it was me wanting to go under the radar there is no way I would be driving down Clough Road next to the city's main police station (highest likelihood of encountering police cars). Even turning in or out of Oak Road could look suspicious. If he drove that way then he is either stupid or was not expecting to have anything to hide. (Especially when there are other entrances to the park)

- the grounds of the old convent would have been a much closer/more convenient location than the park. It is almost next to where the bench is and away from the police station.

- the alleged offences make PR an ideal suspect. Voyeurism is driven by the thrill of watching, not taking part (as opposed to casing out for a future opportunity or to gain a closeness like in the Bundy cases). It is a crime the perpetrator can believe is victimless. But the trophies queer this regarding PR (of course) as well as the flashing; he is demanding to be noticed and becoming transgressive. If he did meet with LS then he would have wanted to show himself to her. Easy to see how this could create a situation that could escalate.

Yes just sounds too far-fetched to possibly be true but could just have happened.

There was a case fairly recently where a teenage girl was raped, eventually was released, flagged down a vehicle for help and was then raped by the driver. Horrific.

So yes, rare, but it can happen.

It sounds like you could do with using the snipping tool built into newer versions of Windows. This allows you to "cut" a specific section of say a CCTV camera on Streetview and upload it to any free online image host and then post it in replies here. It is all very easy to do but think writing it down makes it look much harder and more complicated than it really is!......

Below is one of the posts you mention above I think? I'm not 100% but think those are sensors of some kind rather than cameras.

They look like pollution or air quality sensors maybe?

maybe he intended to stalk her and try it on with her, but never to actually force himself on her? Maybe he left it at that, she got out, he drove off... AND now she is 'abducted' by someone who may or may not exist with ZERO clues and ZERO trace

Maybe there was no second crime. Maybe he is guilty of trying it on, she screamed fought him off and he left her in the park. She could have met with an accident afterwards and fallen and succumbed to the weather or the water

This long with no body?

Thanks TTWO, yes that is what I was referring to. Surely such a bridge has cameras somewhere though, seems a road busy with traffic?
I appreciate the advice re pics, I've not even been able to get my avatar to load since the last site update, I need lessons !

It seems to have just the one camera mentioned previously (over 10 years old going by Streetview):

I wonder if this bridge is even raised very often?

Re: Lessons. Give me a day or three and I'll try and knock-up a little tutorial :)

Well, I've searched MSM for any mention of specialist cadaver dogs being utilised in the Libby investigation and haven't found anything. They've used Police dog units in their searches, but these don't appear to be cadaver dogs to me. Have I missed something?

Woods searched in hunt for Libby Squire

“Sniffer dogs have searched the property in the city where Libby lived”

Also, Humberside Police have an official SM page for their dogs, all posts coming from members of LE. They have advised on there previously that their Victim Recovery & Forensic Evidence search dogs are also cadaver dogs.

I think it’s unlikely that a dog taken into Libby’s house wouldn’t be trained in specifically alerting to a body.

I am new to posting here, this case has compelled me to post.

I think PR is the main suspect here, anything else is just too many coincidences.
However, I am baffled as to how/why there has been no trace of Libby found at all yet.
I can't imagine how difficult this must be for her family and friends.

I fear that police may never be able to rule out PR, or indeed, rule him further in. And if she is eventually found, especially if in water, we may get no real answers at all.
