Sheriff Salazar press conference:

This is a missing persons case under very suspicious circumstances. Her friends stated she didn't show up to the gym or to work yesterday. The friends came to her residence and didn't find her. They did encounter her husband. They weren't able to get many answers from him as to her whereabouts so they called deputies.

Deputies came to the location and spoke to her husband. They weren't able to get much information from him as he asserted his rights and retained an an attorney so they have not been able to speak to him much.

The circumstances surrounding this are somewhat troubling to sheriff. There is no sign of her anywhere but they did find her purse, wallet, keys, a cellphone (possibly an old one). They do not have her passport. Both husband and wife have ties to the Caribbean. It's possible she could have left the country of her own free will. It's possible she is the victim of foul play. They are asking for any information leading to her whereabouts.

From the Q&A:
She is determined missing due to the fact that she is gone in and of itself...many of the things you would expect someone to take with them are at the house. Car, purse, wallet, keys, phone, etc.
Sheriff has received tips.
She runs an assisted-living type operation.
Nobody has seen or heard from her since Thursday February 28.
Husband is not a suspect. No direct evidence of a crime has been committed. Bunch of personnel dedicated to this case including outside agencies.
Husband is an active duty military member a high ranking Air Force officer. Airforce OSI has been a great partner in this endeavor. Sheriff has boots on the ground out in that area combing that area.
Anybody who lives nearby and noticed suspicious activity, any surveillance footage from the neighborhood is asked to call it in.
1042 Solitude Cove is the address.

I don’t know how accurate what I read was but seen it posted from someone who claimed her mom was best friends with Andreen. She posted that Andreens car was still in the garage. As I said , idk how accurate that is but I can find a link if needed.

Look at this, it’s getting crazy.
Blood evidence found in suspicious disappearance of mother, BCSO says
Authorities said they set up surveillance on the McDonalds' home and covertly followed Andre McDonald to a gun shop Saturday afternoon, where they said he hurriedly purchased a firearm and ammunition. According to Salazar, Andre McDonald was in such a hurry, he left behind the firearm he had just purchased and his ID.

Oh geez.... this is not good at all. At least they have all hands on deck for this.

Salazar said that the military's Office of Special Investigations and the FBI have joined the investigation and have uncovered blood evidence, as well as "new evidence in plain view." Authorities continued searching the couple's home and vehicles Saturday night.

They said they have not yet talked to the couple's 6-year-old daughter, as she is autistic and mostly nonverbal....

Do you think the gun was for himself? He was in such a hurry he left the gun and his id at the gun store. All very odd ...

The press conference they held tonight indicates her husband is in custody, will be transferred over to the military who will hold him, and he’s officially a suspect in her disappearance. They found blood at the home. The area itself has had a HUGE police presence all day/night. Huge mobile crime van thing, half a dozen sheriff’s cars in multiple places in the neighborhood... it’s just crazy. I assume she is dead and it’s a matter of finding her body.

The only two logical explanations I can think of would be he intended to use it to harm himself or he intended to use it in an attempt to escape the area. I suppose if he truly had zero to do with his wife’s disappearance, perhaps he was afraid for his and their young daughter’s safety and wanted it for protection. Why he would be dumb enough to try to buy a firearm the day after his wife is discovered missing (that HE didn’t report... her friends did) is beyond me.

Yeah this is really crazy. It seems like the whole puzzle is coming together quite quickly though. If he indeed is the one who caused her disappearance I would think it wasn’t thought out or planned.

Jamaican woman missing in the US; army officer husband under probe

A Jamaican-born woman from the parish of Portland has been reported missing in the United States and police authorities there are theorising that she may have been a victim of foul play.

SBM

Information reaching Loop News is that McDonald had resided in Port Antonio before migrating to the United States. She is a past student of Norwich Primary and Titchfield High school in Portland, Jamaica.

SBM

McDonald is the operator of Starlight Homes Assisted Living, which consists of two facilities providing personal care services for the elderly in the San Antonio region. Information from the company's website suggested that after graduating from high school in Jamaica, McDonald went on to earn an associate degree in marketing by age 18.

"Marriage and a move to Florida followed before her (McDonald's) husband’s air force career brought them to San Antonio. She earned her business degree in finance from the University of Texas, San Antonio. But McDonald knew her degree wouldn’t automatically mean she’d get a job: For me to get a job, one has to be available. Someone has to create a job," a biography about McDonald, on her company's website, stated.

The mobile crime unit van is still in place, and there are numerous sheriff’s vehicles all over the surrounding area today. It seems pretty obvious they think he dumped her somewhere nearby based on the sheer amount of continued activity in the immediate area. JMO.
