She was getting married later this year , so sad
So how far was it from the bar to their accommodation and to the pier/cottage? Anyone worked out where it is? And how far was she found from there?
I agree, 3 lovely kids and about to get married, no way she suddenly decided to commit suicide on a hen night miles away from home. She was found on a small island in the middle of the Lough. Looks like she fell in and tried to swim to safety. Can’t see a girl like that committing suicide when she had a wedding coming up.
I found a great piece of drone footage that shows the harbour walls to the north and south of the town. Do you know if the water at the end of the walls is always deep enough for boat traffic or does it depend on tides?5 mins walk to their accommodation, there isn’t a pier as such, the water surrounds the edges of the town. She was found on a small island in the Lough but they haven’t said which one

. . .He [James Larkin, east coast sector manager with the Irish Coastguard] revealed the recovery operation had taken place in the "vicinity of Haulbowline Lighthouse", a landmark situated at the entrance to Carlingford Lough. . . .
The sister of a woman who drowned in Carlingford Lough last weekend has thanked all of those who helped in the search operation.
It was a rarity that she'd have even one or two drinks, so she'd obviously had a few at this," her sister Rachel Wilkinson said.
"Immediately the girls [on the hen night] knew that night when she didn't come back that there was something wrong."
She said they contacted contacted Ruth's partner James the next morning.
"He knew immediately that something was wrong, because she wouldn't have went to a party, she wouldn't have went on to have drinks elsewhere, she wasn't really a drinker.
"The fact that she didn't come back, we knew there was something very wrong.
