Mother told police she planned inject her and her daughter with bleach to get rid of parasites | Daily Mail Online

Brooke Helmandollar triggered an Amber Alert child abduction emergency warning two weeks ago when she took her daughter, Alissa, out of school and went on a nearly 400-mile road trip.

The 41-year-old disappeared with the 10-year-old and took her from Nampa, Idaho, to a motel in Cheney, Washington.

Helmandollar pulled the girl out of school on March 12 and told a school staff member they would be staying in a hotel because their house was infected with parasites and insects.

Police found bleach in the motel where the mother and daughter were staying, along with charcoal and materials for enemas, The Spokesman-Review reports.

Not long after the Amber Alert was issued, Alissa was spotted in Oregon.

After being arrested, Helmandollar said the bleach was for cleaning and not injecting.

The child was placed in Child Protective Services custody following her mother's arrest.

Jon Helmandollar, her husband, is also being investigated for child endangerment.

Police said he repeatedly did not express concern for his daughter’s safety during the investigation and officers said he lied about the pair's whereabouts.

Her husband, Jon Helmandollar, is also being investigated for child endangerment. Police said he repeatedly did not express concern for his daughter’s safety during the investigation. Jon Helmandollar is the head football coach at Columbia High School in Nampa and is a former Boise State football player.

When told an Amber Alert had been issued to find his wife and daughter, he responded, “That’s not going to make me look good,” according to court records.

He also allegedly lied to police about his wife and daughter’s whereabouts, court records state.
