.....

Mr. Taylor appeared in an Islamic State promotional video that called for attacks on celebrations in Australia and New Zealand for Anzac Day, a holiday that commemorates those countries’ citizens who died in overseas wars. He told the ABC that he had witnessed several beheadings and executions during his time with the group.

He also said he that expected New Zealand to eventually take him back, but that he would probably need to spend “a couple of years” in prison.

“I’m sorry for causing too much trouble and being a bit hotheaded and flamboyant in my approach,” said Mr. Taylor, who also goes by the names Muhammad Daniel and Abu Abdul-Rahman.
Mr. Taylor said that he regretted not being able to afford a female slave from the Yazidi ethnic minority.

This makes me so angry. All these ISIS members who now want to return and talk about the Islamic State and its horrors as if it was a Gap-year of sorts, or as if they went punk and now they ditch the safety pins and eyeliner and return to normal.
They have zero compassion with their victims, and no regrets about the atrocities and horrific murders they committed.

Please don't waste one second of compassion on these beasts, the times may have changed but they have remained their evil same.

It would seem his biggest regret is not being able to buy a female slave.
He should be made a slave to serve those poor women!

ITALY- Bus driver hijacks bus with 51 schoolchildren and sets fire to it

He wanted to start a massacre, "Let's go to Linate. Nobody returns from here alive. This morning the driver of a bus hijacked a vehicle carrying 51 children from two classes of the Vailati middle school in Crema and then set fire to it. To prevent a disaster the carabinieri intervened. They were warned by one of the youngsters on board. They were able to intercept the bus and block it, and let the students get out while the flames were already surrounding them.

Ousseynou Sy, 47 years old, born in Senegal but with Italian citizenship, has a record for driving under the influence of alcohol and sexual violence. He has been arrested. "I want to be clear: why was a person with such a history driving a bus to transport children?" Interior Minister Matteo Salvini commented.

It happened on Provincial road 44 near Paullese, in the Milan area, at the junction for Peschiera Borromeo. Ousseynou Sy, 47 years old, born in Senegal and with Italian citizenship, in service for 15 years, deviated from the planned road. Under the threat of a knife, he forced teachers to tie the wrists of children with electrical ties. However, a 12-year-old boy managed to hide his mobile phone and warn 112.

The Carabinieri came speeding, found the bus and forced it to stop. The man began to spill gasoline from tanks that he had hidden in the overhead boxes and black bags near his seat, screaming that he wanted to end it all "to avenge the dead at sea." Then he started the fire. A soldier broke a window and the schoolchildren managed to escape. No one was hurt, only a few were lightly intoxicated or bruised. Immediately the "118" were on the location with a helicopter, 14 ambulances and emergency medical services. Twelve youngsters and two adults were taken to hospital as a precaution. Others were assisted by a psychologist.

"He cuffed us and threatened us. He said that if we moved, he would pour gasoline and light the fire. He kept saying that people in Africa die and the blame lies with Di Maio and Salvini. Then the Carabinieri saved us" according to a young girl who was on the bus.

The search of the house in Crema by Ousseynou Sy is underway. In the apartment, where the man lived alone, the Carabinieri arrived and are investigating his life and trying to understand the causes of his actions. The man is accused of massacre and kidnapping.

What a horrible situation. Snopes.com provides some insight on the coverage and points out that important details have been left out of recent reports. I know next to nothing about the situation, but when I read this post, I wanted to check it out. Snopes is worthwhile reading if anyone else is also unfamiliar with this situation and who would like to know more about the context. YES, this situation is horrific - I am not downplaying that at all, but do encourage reading more if this is new info to anyone. For example, Fulu have been attacked as well.

Link to Snopes fact-check article: FACT CHECK: Did 'Muslim Militants' Kill 120 Christians in Nigeria in February/March 2019?

IMO, it's a very complicated situation but the bottomline is simple: violence begets violence.

Bus dirottato a Milano: Ecco l'audio dell'autista e dei bambini impauriti

Bus hijacked in Milan, Ousseynou Sy had premeditated everything: brought black sheets to cover the windows of the bus

Lawyer is requesting a psychiatric report on the driver. Home and car search: A colleague claims that a few days earlier he had bought an electric gun on the Internet. The pupils: "He took all the small hammers off the bus". Team of psychologists to follow the children

"I had this thing in mind for a while: I wanted to go to Linate to catch a plane and return to Africa and use the children as a shield: I spread gasoline to prevent the Carabinieri from shooting." These are the first words of Ousseynou Sy from the San Vittore prison, where he spent the first night under surveillance. Ousseynou Sy is the driver who hijacked and set fire to the school bus on Wednesday morning at the gates of Milan. At this moment, he has already been transferred to the ward of special protection, the one reserved for prisoners who can not be with others such as the repentant, sex offenders, those who have committed crimes against women and children and former members of the police. The interview first with the doctor on duty, then with the psychologist of the prison. He is still awaiting the interrogation to validate the arrest, which will be held tomorrow afternoon. The investigators will forward today to the magistrate the request for validation of the arrest with the accusations of massacre, kidnapping, arson and resistance and then the interrogation of guarantee before the judge could be held tomorrow. Yesterday, in front of the prosecutors, the man claimed that he wanted to go to Linate [airport] by bus and then run off with a plane to Senegal, but he had nothing with him, let alone a plane ticket.

At these hours the Deputy Prosecutor Alberto Nobili and the State Prosecutor Luca Poniz are beginning to hear the reports of the pupils and accompanying persons of the two classes of the middle school of Crema. And so other evidences are added to the picture that describes the premeditation: when he arrived in Pantigliate the driver covered the windows in the front of the bus with black sheets, perhaps to prevent the children from understanding where they were. This material was also brought in in the morning before he drove off with the vehicle with which he was supposed to take the students from the gym to the school. He had also removed from the car all the windbreak hammers with which the pupils could try to break the glass and run away.

The details emerge from the account of some witnesses and also from that of the first carabinieri who arrived on the spot, members of Carabinieri mobile Response team of San Donato. In a few seconds the agents had to make a choice, they blocked the bus and made the children get down from the back. All this while Sy was holding two lighters and threatened the Carabinieri that he would set everyting on fire if they touched him. And so he did shortly afterwards. The military had to pull out of the bus, while it was going up in flames that were engulfing even the attacker himself. The policeman Aldo Leone from Paullo station was slightly injured: he still has a hand wrapped due to a burn.

The lawyer, Davide Lacchini, has already announced that he will ask for a psychiatric report for his client. He explained, "It is a duty in view of the enormity of the act committed and the Public Prosecutor's Office also agrees on this." Then he explains: "He was in a clear state of physical and psychological outrage: it is clear that the situation got out of hand, but he repeated that he had no intention of hurting anyone," the lawyer continues, thus illustrating the line of defense. "We therefore insist on the version of the "act of demonstration", albeit a "reckless" one."

From the San Vittore prison emerge a few statements from the driver, who would call himself a "pan-Africanist", explaining that Africa has been colonized and that Europe takes advantage of Africa "by putting governments there that are convenient to the West."

The investigators are trying to obtain the video-manifesto that the man posted on his YouTube channel - and about which he spoke to the prosecutors - a manifesto that he sent to his acquaintances in Italy and Senegal. In the film the man apparently explains the reasons for his actions as "against Italian migration policies." The Ros Carabinieri are working to reconstruct what happened: they searched the house and car of Ousseynou Sy yesterday, they also seized computer equipment. In the car the military would have found a tank and bags. The checks were carried out together with colleagues from the investigation team from Crema, where Sy is living. According to some rumors, the bus driver ordered in recent days on the Internet, through a colleague, a sort of electric gun, saying he had to give it to his new partner. All these evidences confirm the "premeditation of the act", which was declared certain also by the Chief Prosecutor of Milan, Francesco Greco, and by the number one of the anti-terrorism pool, the Public Prosecutor Alberto Nobili.

Moreover: the investigations show that in 2007, when his driving license was suspended for drunkenness, the man had asked for a sick leave from the company Autoguidovie for which he was already working, to avoid explaining why he could not drive.

For the children involved, it was decided that a team of psychotherapists will be ready to support them and their families from Monday onwards. The Municipality of Crema, where the young people attend secondary school, will make use of the support of the specialists of the Emdr Italia Association, who for years have been involved in cases of particularly traumatic emergencies and bereavements, including the tragedy in the discotheque of Corinaldo.

The Municipality of Crema will be a civil party in the trial against Ouesseynou Sy, the driver who yesterday burned down the bus on which he was carrying 51 secondary school pupils. This was explained by the mayor, Stefania Bonaldi, pointing out that the municipal administration "has no power of control" regarding the conditions of the staff of Autoguidovie with which a contract was signed at provincial level.

Frankfurt Hessen: SEK-Einsatz in Frankfurt Nied nach Terror-Verdacht | Frankfurt

Germany - Police arrest ten 'jihadists' who were 'plotting to use a car and guns to kill as many people as possible and had already hired a vehicle

Update, 22 March, 10:46 a.m.:
There was great commotion early Friday morning in Frankfurt Nied [part of Frankfurt am Main]. A SEK operation in Heusingerstraße caused roads to be closed at short notice. Now more backgrounds have become known. Nadja Niesen from the public prosecutor's office in Frankfurt spoke on request of a "major operation". The suspicion concerned the preparation of a serious act of violence that posed a threat to the state.

Update, 22 March, 11.50 a.m.:
Several locations in the Rhine-Main area are being searched. According to Hessenschau.de there were several arrests, but the exact number is still unknown.

Update, 22 March, 15:56: The public prosecutor's office announced details on Friday afternoon. In a press release, the investigations are discussed in more detail. Ten people from Frankfurt, Offenbach, Wiesbaden and Mainz between the ages of 20 and 42 have been charged. They are accused of financing terrorism and conspiring to commit a crime.

A 21-year-old from Offenbach and two 31-year-old brothers from Wiesbaden are particularly in the focus of the investigations. They are considered the main suspects and are said to belong to the Salafist scene of the Rhine-Main region. They were planning to commit an Islamic terrorist attack using a vehicle and firearms. Their goal was to kill as many "unbelievers" as possible.

In preparation for the attack, they are said to have already made contact with various arms dealers, rented a larger vehicle and collected assets to use for purchasing firearms and committing the planned murders.

Extensive evidence was seized during the searches. More than €20,000 in cash, several knives, small quantities of narcotics and a large number of written documents and electronic media were found. The arrested suspects are to be brought before the investigating judge at the Frankfurt District Court in the course of the afternoon, who will decide on the issuing of an arrest warrant and the order for pre-trial detention.

Update, 22 March, 5:47 p.m.: Hesse's Interior Minister Peter Beuth (CDU) stated that he assumed that the investigators had succeeded in preventing a serious crime. "The police intervened in time to prevent possible attacks at an early stage," Beuth explained. The authorities had a close eye on the radical Islamist scene. "And we will protect our citizens from terror and violence with all means of the rule of law," the Minister explained.

Nach Oberleitungsschaden: IS-Flagge an S-Bahn-Trasse in Berlin gefunden

After the damage to an overhead railway line in Berlin-Karlshorst, the police confiscated an IS flag and documents in Arabic along the route. The extent to which the secured objects are related to the damage of the overhead line is still being investigated, police said on Tuesday. On Tuesday morning, the police had again inspected the area along the Regio and EC lines in the direction of Warsaw. A torn holding rope and a damaged supply cable had been discovered there on Sunday.

First the "B.Z." reported. (online) reported that about 60 leaflets with Arabic characters and an ISIS flag had been discovered near the damaged overhead line. A throw anchor should also have been found.

The state security suspects a political background, as the police announced on Monday. There is a suspicion of a dangerous intervention in rail traffic.

It is also being examined whether there is a connection to a dangerous intervention in rail traffic at the beginning of October on a railway line between Nuremberg and Munich. A steel cable had been stretched over the ICE line near Allersberg. In the incident, a train was damaged and nobody was injured.

A coloured threatening letter with several black-and-white copies in Arabic had been discovered near this crime scene. The investigators consider a link between the crime and the terror militia "Islamic State" (IS) very unlikely.

Sure. Why wave an IS-flag if you aren't serious? For the fun of it of course! The same goes for sabotaging railways. Perhaps the perps were disturbed by someone carrying and IS-flag along the railway. These things happen, but that does not mean there is a direct link to ISIS or any of the thousands of jihadists who have returned to Germany.

Terror suspect caught in Vienna

After attempted attacks on railway lines in Bavaria and Berlin, Vienna police arrested a 42-year-old Iraqi under suspicion of terrorism. The man, who lives in Vienna, apparently sympathises with the terrorist militia "Islamic State" (IS), as the Munich public prosecutor's office and the Berlin police president announced on Wednesday.

The Public Prosecutor's Office in Vienna announced that the man was urgently suspected of having carried out terrorist attacks on railway lines in Germany in October and December 2018. It was only due to a technical error that the planned killing of people did not take place.

"Documents found near the crime scene in Arabic as well as a flag of the so-called Islamic state give rise to a suspicion of terrorist acts", the authority announced. The accused admitted the facts, but denied a terrorist background.

Suspect alleged to have stretched steel cables over ICE tracks

Specifically, there are two cases: On 7 October, on the ICE line between Nuremberg and Munich near Allersberg, a steel cable was attached between the overhead line masts, and wooden wedges reinforced with metal parts were attached to the tracks in order to derail a train crossing them, as the Public Prosecutor's Office announced. An ICE had crossed the obstacles, but was only slightly damaged.

On 24 and 25 December, the Berlin police had reported a comparable intervention on a railway line in Karlshorst, which had also revealed damage to the overhead line. Here, too, investigators found documents in Arabic as well as a flag of the IS.

The arrest took place on Monday and the man is currently also being questioned by German investigators in Vienna.

So, you live in Vienna and you travel to Germany to sabotage railways. Why would that be? Austria has railways too and their government is far more ready to get rid of jihadist Irakis than welcoming Germany.

Gesuchter ICE-Attentäter in Wiener Gemeindebau gefasst

"ICE-train attacker is a recognized refugee and security guard"

The letter of confession put the investigators on a trail that led to Vienna. According to his lawyer, the suspect claims he has nothing to do with terrorism.

A suspect wanted in connection with the attacks on ICE trains in Germany was arrested in Vienna. The suspect is a 42-year-old recognized refugee from Iraq. The public prosecutor's office in Vienna confirmed a corresponding report in the Kronen Zeitung in principle, but corrected the age mentioned there.

The man was arrested by the Cobra elite unit in a Viennese community building. Yesterday there was a raid in this context in Vienna-Simmering. The Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BVT) coordinated the action.

The German investigators allegedly came on the trail through a letter of confession from the IS in Arabic script or via the printer used for this purpose. Apparently there are also connections to the eleven suspected terrorists in Germany who were arrested only a few days ago in the Frankfurt area (*).

The suspect studied at the Technical University of Vienna and is the father of five children. He is also said to be employed by a security company and to have access to football stadiums, for example. Apparently he glorified various attacks on his Facebook account, such as the one in Nice. He is also said to have called for revenge for the right-wing radical attack in New Zealand. He also had sympathies for the former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.

According to his lawyer, Vienna defence lawyer Wolfgang Blaschitz, Qaeser A. has admitted to being responsible for the attempted attacks on ICE trains in Germany. "But he affirms that he has nothing to do with terrorism. The attacks should have been a political message to the German government," Blaschitz said. Due to the language problems with his client he had not been able to clarify exactly on Tuesday what that meant. Qaeser A. wants to prevent extradition to Germany by all means.

More than a dozen injured in central Lyon explosion

French President Emmanuel Macron called a package blast on a pedestrian street in central Lyon on Friday an “attack” after the device wounded more than a dozen people just two days ahead of France’s hotly contested European Parliament elections.

Police were hunting a man believed to be in his early 30s on a mountain bicycle who witnesses and security cameras saw in the area immediately before the explosion.

The number of injured stood at 13 people, with 11 taken to hospitals, a source close to the inquiry said. None of the injuries were life-threatening.

A police source said the package contained “screws or bolts”. It had been placed in front of a bakery near a busy corner of two popular streets at around 17:30 pm (1530 GMT) on a balmy spring evening.

A 24-year-old man suspected of being the perpetrator of Friday's parcel bomb attack in Lyon was arrested on Monday morning in the same city and taken into police custody, the Paris prosecutor said. The suspect was arrested on the public road, according to a source close to the case.

"Package bomb in Lyon: a suspect has just been arrested. Their joint action is decisive," Interior Minister Christophe Castaner said on Twitter.

Mohamed Hichem M., suspected of having planted an improvised explosive device in Lyon, had been refused his student visa application.

Mohamed Hichem M. no longer had a valid residence permit. According to our information confirmed by several corroborating sources, the 24-year-old Algerian, suspected of having planted an improvised explosive device in Lyon (Rhône) on Friday, which wounded 13 people when it exploded, was in an irregular situation on French territory. He had joined his family there in 2017 on a temporary visa.

As Interior Minister Christophe Castaner told our CNews colleagues on Tuesday morning, the young man's request for a student visa to attend courses at the Epitech computer school in Lyon had been rejected. Until now, he had "short stay visas."

His parents, who were also interviewed with his brother and sister, were in a legal situation on French territory. "They are well integrated, it is also the human dimension I think about," Christophe Castaner said of them.

Arrested on Monday morning, the young man was "not very talkative", in the words of the Minister of the Interior, in police custody about the reasons for the act of which he is accused. One of his relatives described him as "not at all extremist."

Explosion à Lyon: ce qu'a dit le suspect en garde à vue

Once in police custody, the suspect who was arrested after the explosion in Lyon, used fundamentalist religious speech, according to a source close to the investigation, but did not claim any membership of a terrorist organization.

The 24-year-old man arrested in connection with the explosion in Lyon last Friday denies any involvement and denies all the facts that are alleged against him, BFMTV learned from a source close to the investigation.

Placed in police custody after his arrest on Monday, he is using fundamentalist religious speech, according to the same source, but does not claim to be a member of any terrorist organisation. Moreover, while in police custody, he himself admitted to being in an irregular situation on French soil, and to living from his computer courses given on the Internet, which earn him a few hundred euros a month according to him.

A source close to the investigation told BFMTV that the suspect was in an irregular situation in France, confirming information from Le Parisien.

At this stage, no evidence related to a terrorist group was found at his home during the search. Many suspicious objects were discovered on site, such as chemicals that could be used to make explosives.

According to our information, investigations are continuing, particularly on his digital devices.

Attentat de Lyon: le suspect reconnaît avoir conçu le colis piégé

"Not very talkative" since his arrest on Monday, the main suspect in the Lyon attack made his first confession after 48 hours of police custody: he is the one who designed the trapped package, the explosion of which caused thirteen light injuries on Friday, it was reported on Wednesday from a source close to the file.

Until his transfer Tuesday evening to the premises of the Counter-Terrorism Sub-Directorate (Sdat) in the Paris suburbs, Mohamed Hichem M., a 24-year-old Algerian, had been uncooperative, according to a source close to the case.

However, several elements of the case were overwhelming.

In particular, the investigation was able to determine that "the DNA profile identified on the components of the device found at the scene of the explosion matches that of the main suspect," according to another source close to the file.

During the searches carried out at the family home of Oullins, in the immediate suburbs of Lyon, "items likely to be part of the TATP's composition (an explosive, editor's note) were found," according to the same source.

His father, mother and brother have also been in police custody since Monday.

Despite these initial confessions, his motivations remain mysterious. However, the use of computer equipment seized during the searches "revealed Internet research relating to jihad and the manufacture of explosive devices."

Did he want to kill? Is he radicalized? The investigators are still trying to clarify the reasons for his action.

There is "a strange discrepancy between the disproportion of a high-performance technical process and a very low volume of explosive. There are real inconsistencies in this case," commented Interior Minister Christophe Castaner, who was called to order on Tuesday by the Paris prosecutor for making public evidence covered by the investigation's secrecy.

The young man, arrested Monday morning while getting off a bus in the 7th arrondissement of Lyon, was unknown to most of his neighbours at his residence in Oullins, confirming the trail of a very discreet personality. Or even "very withdrawn", as described by the source close to the file.

"Every morning he supposedly went to work. But we didn't know that he wasn't actually working," admitted a neighbour of his. Only one resident described it as "rather pleasant, helpful" who "played sports."

Initially presented as a "computer science student", Mohamed Hichem M. was in reality "without activity." The Lyon school where he was supposed to be enrolled stated that he had never been part of the school. "Two years ago, he had +unregistered+ before school started after his visa was refused."

"He had short stay visas and then applied for a student visa to enter a school. He did not have a student visa," M. Castaner confirmed.

On his LinkedIn profile, he describes himself as a "developer", a student at the University of Oran Es-Sénia. In his profile picture, he appears very smiling, his face adorned with thin glasses and a three-day beard.

On Friday at around 5.30 pm, a young man on his bicycle, wearing a cap and sunglasses, dropped a paper bag containing screws, metal balls, batteries, as well as a printed circuit board and a remote activation device in front of a bakery in a pedestrian street.

The explosion of this trapped package had aroused strong emotion in Lyon, which had so far been spared by jihadist attacks.

The investigators were able to follow his itinerary by bicycle thanks to the intersection of the video surveillance of the municipalities of Lyon and Oullins. The use of his telephone data and purchases made on the Internet also made it possible to trace back to him.

During his arrest on Monday morning by the Investigation and Intervention Brigade (BRI) of the Lyon Judicial Police, he did not put up any resistance.
