It's been up for sale since before Libby went missing, or at least the sign was up by the time the media took photos of her house.

EDIT there are previous posts on here confirming the house has been on the market since last summer, but the Rightmove listing has vanished. Did you notice which agent it is up with? It had a red and white sign up in the early days.

Right you are. I think I actually knew this, but it must've slipped my mind. I've been beaten to it by a few people, but it's still with Tulip. No active listings online.

Hi NT, Re Welly CCTV footage. So I need to persevere and try to win you over. Using the Youtube link above, we first get the elevated view like the one I've seen elsewhere showing the rummage in the jacket pocket and I claim the raising of a phone to her right ear just before leaving the picture. We then get the benefit of a view from a lower position pointing 90% at frozen ground however Libby strides into view and rummages in her pocket, clearly taking out that mobile and looking at it quickly before she proceeds to raise it. Please say I'm right!
I think it's hard to say because what I'm seeing is coloured by hearing that her phone was found at her home.

If I hadn't heard that I would agree it could be. It certainly looks like she looks at whatever she gets out of her pocket.

'Detective Superintendent Matt Hutchinson said: “I want to make it clear that these two individuals (along with a passing motorist) are not suspects in this inquiry.” '

I think the "passing motorist" probably responded to the police appeals for people who had seen Libby, and s/he may be the one who reported the interaction with Greybeard.

Is it possible the passing motorist was PR ?
There was thoughts initially on him having gone to the police of his own accord (family quotes about him giving a girl a lift ) plus adding confusion by telling them about GB

I don’t think it’s impossible that he was the passing motorist who told police about GB. I couldn’t hazard a guess at the likelihood even if the motive was a further thrill at having oneupmanship over the police/self preservation by casting suspicion elsewhere.

I don’t see him volunteering that he picked anyone up from the area until such time as the police made it known to him that they had CCTV footage of him interacting with LS though.

Humberside don’t have their own Home Office Forensic Pathologists; they “borrow” from other areas.

Home Office register of forensic pathologists

I hope that with Det Superintendent Smalley’s precious service with the Leicestershire force, that he was able to influence the choice as being from East Midlands Forensic Pathology Unit, particularly Dr Stuart Hamilton who co-authored the Royal College of Pathologist standards on examining bodies retrieved from water.

Why? Because he’s eminent in his field and more difficult for any defence to find things to challenge AND he works with Professor Rutty whose research focuses on the use of CT scans as a useful way of capturing the body which doesn’t degrade and can therefore be used as the basis of future PMs.

Ultimately, I believe this is the way to secure the best forensic pathology evidence and the quickest route to enabling Libby’s body to be released to the family. MOO

It's shocking that Humberside Police doesn't have Home Office Forensic Pathologists.

While we are on the forensic trail can we please hope that Patricia Wiltshire is somehow involved because she is a bit of a genius (IMO).

I would love to spend time listening to how she has helped investigations in the past.

Fascinating lady.

The FSS was abolished, it is outsourced privately now I believe. Be interested to know if the Home Office themselves still employs some specialists, but I doubt it.
Only c/ping a tiny portion of the article, interesting to read. .

Falling forensic science standards 'making miscarriages of justice inevitable'

The government abolished the Forensic Science Service in 2012, which was the primary provider to the police and courts, resulting in forensic work being transferred to in-house police laboratories and private providers. Conservative ministers wanted to create a market in which independent companies competed for business

Jeez, The Tories would privatised there own granny for a few quid.

No, I think it's just the way it may have been subsequently reported elsewhere. The linked report is dated 2 Feb as you say, and Ryan is quoted “Police came yesterday and took some items, such as a phone, from her room." That seems clear enough.
I remember it said in the press that her phone was located "at her house", (which led some of us to speculate about whether it was found inside or outside her house). Not sure about whether this has been cleared up yet, apart from this quote from Ryan?

Yes I agree. He could have also rather foolishly thought he was the person the police were requesting come forward seen "helping" libby

There does seem to be a drive for some criminals to be seen as ever so helpful. Ian Huntley, Russell Bishop ('Babes in the woods' killer) to name two.

Just watched the babes in the wood documentary last night, found it a hard watch indeed, heart breaking. Russell Bishop practically implicated himself due to his own level of self involvement..
him & Ian Huntley were the reason Robert Murat got a hard time in Praia de Luz. I’ve read up on many cases in the US of perpetrators being involved in the search teams for their own victims. Something to be said about the kind of person that can involve themselve’s in this way on top of committing heinous acts. Could PR have implicated himself ? Hmm Maybe but I doubt it.
