"The victim and 'delivery man' had a brief conversation, and then the man shot her in the chest. She was able to close the door as he ran, and call 911".

Unrelated?
Just came across this link, no idea if it is related to this case or not, but it is interesting because it occurred in the same area (Mississauga) as the attempted murder.
fwiw, speculation, imo.
‘He has a dangerous weapon’: Video shows burglar stealing crossbow in Mississauga neighbourhood
Jul 12, 2018
"He has been lurking around in the early morning and checking people’s cars, garages and sheds.
In one incident, he went into a shed in the back of a home on Mississauga Valley Boulevard and stole a crossbow, used by the owner for hunting, along with four bolts."
“He has a dangerous weapon and this guy is walking around with it,” said Sam Wieczorek, who lives on nearby Vermouth Avenue. “Police need to catch him. Hopefully the (videos) will help.”
Great find, dotr! I think if the theft is related, that may lead to a resolution, people often burglarize areas they are familiar with. Check out all the dark pickups (I bet they know the make/model) in the area of the theft....fingers crossed.Unrelated?

I think the physical differences you note can be explained by the fact that the murderer video was shot by a very wide angled lens. Dimensions are very distorted by such lens. Another poster has observed he has tiny feet! Which is also due to the distortion. ImoLooking at this a bit more, to me, the hoodie and pants look similar in both videos. There seems to be a gather or bunching at the cuff of both pants, although the burglar has stockier more bowed legs than the murderer who had slimmer, longer legs and narrower hips than the burglar. The burglar goes right to the rear door of the shed and spends less than a minute inside and comes out with the crossbow and one other bundle in his left hand. He certainly does not appear to be random. I think he knew the crossbow was there and went only for it. It could be unrelated to the killing, or perhaps the thief was also the 'contractor'??
More than a coincidence to me!

White clothes that looked very similar... A cap (though different)... A crossbow that would be about the right size.. Stolen 4 months before the crossbow attack
