Body of missing Manchester woman found in river, police say

Just an update of where Nicole was found and where it believed she drowned:

Civilian volunteers who continued the search eventually found the Manchester woman's body near a bridge just over the Epping town line on Prescott Road.

"Our investigation at this point indicates that she was a camper,” Labell said. “She was with her friends. We have information that she had been consuming alcoholic beverages. At some point, she went for a walk and it was reported when she didn't return to us, and that's when we started the search."

Police believe Davis drowned in Dead Pond, which is located on the campground's property and feeds into the Lamprey River.

Police are still piecing together what led up to Davis’ death.

Horrible name for a pond. Even worse when someone has drowned there.

Just caught up here...such sad news that they found Nicole. Not terribly surprised but I am a little surprised she ended up in the river. But if she lost her way, was intoxicated, then hypothermic and confused, it's very easy to imagine she could have lost her footing. Tragic.

Shows that women can come to the same end as young men, as far as alcohol and nearby bodies of water...sad sort of equality...
