Could this be John Brockbank, missing from Catalina Island? The date and age seem to fit, and the circumstances seem to line up.

Yes, Brockbank looks like a very interesting possibility. Zuma Beach is a perfect landing point for something originating from Catalina Island, if the currents were flowing northward. However, in Los Angeles County, the currents tend to flow southward.

Hi Romulus....still going strong I see. Explore the thing Tuck posted is a very good beginning....

Exploring the late 1991 and early 1992 missing woman cases in CA. Thinking line: dropped in the water from some coastal place.

It could be anybody (male, female, black, white, Latino, native etc.)

It could be Selena Edon missing since October 28, 1991 from San Francisco, San Francisco County, California when 29 yrs what matches with the estimated age. Not very logical considering the distance between missing and finding places.

Het story is sad. Lost a lot of her body- en mental capacities because of an accident.
Makes we wonder if she took her own life. But if she did her body would probably have turned up quicker. And also if she went into the water (for what ever reason) the currents don't add up I guess.

Also thinking about Arisoneide Gosselin missing since May 28, 1992 from Turlock, Stanislaus County, California when 31 yrs. She could be kidnapped and taking to the coast, killed and dumped in the water. The currents could have taken her as far as Zuma beach but everything sounds not very logical to me. http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/826dfca.html

A. Tsuji, Asian, 25 years, missing since Oct. 24, 1991, from Aptos, Santa Cruz Co, California
http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/2930dfca.html A long way to end up on Zuma beach.

http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/2298dfca.html D. Sanchez, Hispanic, 32 years, missing since Sep. 20, 1991 from Los Altos, CA. Story of drugs, violence, motorcycles.... A dangerous life style. Near the coast....currents south...but a long, long way to Zuma Beach and the story of the witness makes me think in another direction (of course I don't know the places...maybe some else sees different possibilities)

I'm not sure how the currents run at the Californian coast coming up from theocean...I could be easy someone from a boating accident or somebody who went overboard from a (cruise) ship. Sounds more logical if the bone washed up ashore (does anybody know that?) But if that is not the case it's a totally different thing....

The other women on Doe Network are either to young or to old in that timeframe. Maybe Namus will come up with more missing persons...and if you skip the gender...

Not been "in" for a while...did anybody submitted John Brockbank?

Not sure...don't know the seashores of CA..but what about this man?

Story:

Jason Jeremy Ross was being chased by someone with a gun at the nude beach in Palos Verdes. Jason tried to swim around the point at the cove on a rough stormy day and was never seen again.

I submitted a match for him a while back from memory, but haven't heard back from LE or the Doe Network.

From my experiences LA LE does not share a lot of information with "the public"....in other cases I send e-mails, submitted, asked questions but never heard back on them ever.

I'm not seeing his name on the rule-outs (in fact, the case currently has no rule-outs), so guess we'll have to continue to wait and see if this is indeed John Brockbank.

Never heard back from anyone on this? Can someone check NamUs and see if Brockbank is a rule out please?
