I’ve never actually started a thread so hopefully this is right. I couldn’t find this mentioned here yet and it’s mega strange. Last seen on cctv walking barefoot with a giant teddy bear and a turkey leg.

Here is a map with the location of the casino where the surveillance footage was taken and roughly where her body was found. The news articles weren't completely clear, but they said it was 6 miles from the casino in the whitewater river replenishment ponds. I don't see any other manufactured ponds within 6 miles.

Surveillance footage still. What is she carrying in her left hand? It looks like a rubber mallet to me but it's hard to tell. Is it possible she was being pursued at this time?

Is it really a turkey leg though? I haven't seen any official reports about that, just people speculating. It DOES kind of look like one, I'll give them that. I don't believe any articles have said that's what it is though.

The Renaissance Faire was still happening out in Devore that weekend and they sell roasted turkey legs.
It's about 75 miles from Devore to Palm Springs.

That's very interesting, something like that could explain the giant bear. Knott's Berry Farm comes to mind as well, it's an hour and a half drive from Palm Springs and they have smoked turkey legs.

This situation has really been keeping me up at night. I went to high school with Winter and she's the adopted/foster sister of a very close friend of mine. There's been no answers and no movement in her case whatsoever.
