Definitely, IMO, and perhaps even more:

“The search warrant also explained that Tuttle was known to carry a large amount of cash on his person, and was currently letting young men stay at his home. The young men were reportedly allowed to drink and smoke but Tuttle did not drink or smoke.

Tuttle also allegedly allowed a young man and his girlfriend to stay with him. The young man did not have a car so Tuttle frequently gave him rides.“ (BBM)

Yep, that is the one I was thinking of. Otherwise, I wonder why they would mention her?

This article is a bit older (from seven hours ago and apparently prior to the arrest of Willard), but it does have additional information:

“Second car connected missing King man located; investigators are interviewing three suspects”

DANBURY — Investigators were interviewing three people Wednesday night after Winston-Salem police found a car linked to the disappearance of an 86-year-old King man, authorities said.

‘Those people are being talked to,’ said Jordan Boyette, King’s interim police chief.

Winston-Salem Police found a silver Pontiac Grand Prix in the area of Akron Drive and Patterson Avenue on Wednesday. Three people were inside, Boyette said.

A family member indicated that Tuttle didn’t have a credit card or an ATM card. Tuttle also didn’t have a cell phone.

The relative also noticed that the last bank transaction occurred on Jan. 3 when Tuttle’s social security check was deposited, the search warrant said. Investigators learned that Tuttle picked up a check from the Creekside Cafe in Germanton last week.

Tuttle, who owns the restaurant, was selling it and had received $100,000 for the initial payment for the business, the search warrant said. Tuttle had deposited that money into his bank account.

Investigators also found a damaged older model Chevrolet pickup, which Tuttle owns, in the driveway of his home, the search warrant said. The damage could have occurred when someone backed Tuttle’s Chrysler PT Cruiser into the parked pickup.

So it appears there were at least three individuals involved in this horrific crime, and none of them thought this was a bad idea. If guilty, what pathetic, worthless losers they are. IMO.

Christian Lang Willard, 20, of Winston-Salem, is charged with first degree murder. Police say the two were acquaintances.

Police expect to file additional charges involving more suspects.

When I read the above last evening, I had a bad feeling he got taken advantage of because he was known to carry a lot of cash. People act a fool when it comes to money. I bet that had a lot to do with it. That’s all JMO, of course. He didn’t stand a chance being elderly. It’s disgusting that people stoop to this level.
