GUILTY TX - Lord Renfro, 3, negligent homicide: Game of Chicken-Mother's SUV vs 3 yo Son, 11 June 2019

Surveillance video obtained by Channel 2 News shows the entire incident.

"Investigators said it shows [Lexus] Stagg behind the wheel of a white Lincoln Navigator, which is in the apartment complex parking lot next to a swimming pool. Investigators said she was watching her children play in the parking lot.

Stagg quickly reverses about 100 feet. The three children are seen running toward the front of the SUV. Stagg then drives forward into the path of her three children.

The two older children were able to get out of the way, but 3-year-old Lord was not.

Investigators said Stagg later admitted she was playing a game with the children."

She admitted playing a game of "dodge" with the children/vehicle. However, after watching the video, I wonder if she was playing that irritating game of "get in the car" then the car backs away, stops to allow the kids to get in the car, then pulls away. Or, maybe they weren't getting into the car as she asked, so she decided to angrily "leave" to get them to chase after her. Not that it really matters, of course. What a ridiculous tragedy. IMO

Stagg previously had two older children removed by child protective services in 2013, according to CNN affiliate KTRK. After the death of the 3-year-old, Lord Renfro, her two surviving children were also removed, the station reported.

FWIW, that's exactly what I think was happening. She was mad at the kids for not coming when called or something like that, so taunted them with the car movements. I think that that says about all we need to know about her parenting.

What a horrible tragedy - a little one is gone.
