The Coal Creek Canyon residence where authorities are investigating a triple homicide was specifically targeted, investigators say, and the there is no threat to the general public...

Sheriff's deputies responded to the residence about 7:30 a.m. Saturday to conduct a welfare check on a resident who had not been seen in several days.

On Sunday, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office said detectives had ruled out the possibility that it was a murder-suicide...

The sheriff’s office later identified the victims as 54-year-old Wallace White of Golden, 56-year-old Kelly Sloat-White of Golden, and 39-year-old Emory Fraker of Broomfield.

Could this be another one of stephens massacre....

"Victims in Triple Murder Were Growing Marijuana."

If so, this is truly tragic as many people have a few medicinal plants growing in their houses. This retired couple looked so old and small-time, lived in a very cold, snowy canyon and thus didn't grow outside, and the lady was ill and maybe just trying to treat her pain, inflammation, and immunity struggles after a kidney transplant.

I'm thinking some crazy idiot somehow got word of a "grow house," from a friend of a friend, and stupidly targeted that couple and relative.

THIS WHOLE THING WAS TRAGIC. My family has been devastated by the horrific acts of a guy they knew his whole life. Kelly was godmother to his brother. Lance gave him skills and a trade in Hvac. Lee was just collateral damage to Garrett.
You obviously knew them some and I appreciate your kind and honest words. There was Kellys kidney transplant, 6 mths before the murders, and Lance had severe R.A..
I am glad the ordeal of trial is over and that he will never see freedom again.
