Happening now: Opening statements are starting in the #ScottNelson trial in Judge Keith White’s courtroom starting with Kelly Hicks from the State Attorney’s Office.

The prosecution now describing the victim’s body when investigators found her back in September of 2017. “She had two superficial stab wounds to her back and five to her chest” #ScottNelsonTrial

Prosecution: Victim was a house manager and nanny who helped take care of her employer's two kids. The victim went to the dentist and the dentist was the last person to see Jennifer Fulford alive #ScottNelsonTrial

Prosecutors: Law enforcement was able to track down Jennifer Fulford's car after she went missing. Her body was tracked down on September 30, 2017 in a vacant field faced down.

Prosecution: Suspect was caught on video using the victim's ATM card buying several items, including a knife. A knife similar to what was found in the field where the victim was found dead days later

Prosecutors making the point that video released by police shows Nelson using Fulford's debit card multiples times before he was tracked down in Jacksonville.

Prosecution: After finding the victim's car, there was DNA on materials in the car that matched the suspect #ScottNelson

Defense attorney Robert Larr now presenting opening statements

Defense gave rather short remarks during opening statements, lasting about 5 minutes. Robert Larr told the jury that prosecutors have to prove that Scott Nelson killed the victim

Prosecution now calling its witnesses in the #ScottNelson Trial. The first witness is Patricia Exu. She works at Lake Highland School as a librarian.

After a brief recess, the state has now called its second witness, a real estate agent.

He's the owner of the home. He said the victim worked for him for 7 years, since 2011. He said Fulford was a house manager, would clean the house and pick up his two kids from school

Home owner, Reid Berman, said he never saw Fulford after he left for work. She took his son to work and then went to the dentist. She was supposed to pick him up for school that day, but that never happened

Berman said it was out of the ordinary for Fulford not to pick up his son from school. He ended up picking his son up. When he got home, Fulford wasn't there nor her car. Chores also weren't done.

Berman told the jury a FedEx Package was found inside near the front door. There was something in the package that needed to be refrigerated -it wasn't. Berman said he called local hospitals and Winter Park Police. A missing persons report was eventually filed

The state's third witness is a @WinterParkPD patrol officer #ScottNelsonTrial

the state's fourth witness is Robert Fulford, the victim's husband.

Fulford said he never heard from his wife at work during the day when she went missing. Police came to his home and told him Fulford was missing. Robert Fulford called friends and family to see if anyone had heard from her

Fulford told jurors he was shown surveillance pictures of a man using his wife's bank card at an ATM after he took out $300 from their joint account. Prosecutors said that man was Scott Nelson

Detective Sharon Wagganer from @WinterParkPD said she was notified about the case the day after Fulford went missing. That's when she went to Reid Berman's home.

Detective Wagganer said there was no sign of forced entry and no obvious sign of theft at Reid Berman's home.

Just saw a local station also has this trial live on their FB page so I thought I'd share for anyone not able to access the CourtTV video

Fox 35 WOFL

OK, unless I'm missing it, seems like Fox 35 only streamed the opening statements. Unfortunate because CourtTV sucks on their streaming. Millions of commercials and talking heads. Law & Crime trial coverage is so much better.

Same for me: the last one was from 36 minutes ago.

Courts reporter for the Orlando Sentinel, Monivette Cordeiro:

“Robert Fulford said his wife was planning to go to Texas the next day to visit her new grandson [should be grandchild], who was born the day she disappeared. Nobody, including her children, heard from her all day.” (BBM)

Juros are back from lunch in the #ScottNelson trial. Attorneys now discussing video that shows Nelson at a Publix after the alleged murder happened. @news6wkmg

The state's next witness is a Winter Park dentist. Prosecutors say she was one of the last people to see the victim alive before she went missing.

Prosecutors showed jurors video of the vicitm leaving the dentist office the day she went missing.

Janet Grimm called to tesitfy. She's an artist and does framework. She did prior work for Reid Berman. She was delivering pictures and art to Berman's home the day Jennifer Fulford went missing

Grimm said Fulford called her 3 times and she left one voicemail on the same day that Fulford went missing.

Grimm said Fulford called her back in Panic saying her boss' son was sick and not to come over to the house to hang the frames #ScottNelsonTrial

The owner of TLC Electronics is now testifying in the #ScottNelsonTrial. His company updated the alarm system for Reid Berman.

He said there were 2 cameras outside of Berman's home on the day that Fulford was reported missing.

Court has adjourned for the day - at about 5:15 PM. Court resumes 9:00 AM Tuesday.

Testimony Begins in Winter Park Personal Assistant Murder Trial
PUBLISHED June 24, 2019 @4:49 PM
[...]
Quite a few people, including her boss, bank and security employees, and law enforcement, took the stand, but perhaps the most emotional testimony was her husband Robert Fulford.

Seven years are the words too hard for Robert Fulford to say, as tears filled his eyes on the witness stand while he described how long he and Jennifer Fulford were married.

Lawyers questioned him about the last day he saw his wife, which was also the same day Jennifer Fulford would be a grandmother again.

No one in the Fulford family would hear from Jennifer Fulford again. Her body found three days later, bound with duct tape, zip ties, and multiple stab wounds. Her body was left in a wooded area in Apopka.

You rock! I didn't think L&C would stream the same trial as CTV, so I didn't even check. So glad because I really wanted to watch this trial.
I think there is just one courtroom camera used by all media as 'press pool'.
This morning I don't find a LIVE link for this trial at LawAndCrime or CourtTV.
CourtTV livestream page - WE'LL BE RIGHT BACK. https://www.courttv.com/title/court-tv-live-stream-web/
Court should have started 20 minutes ago.
I'm away from my computer for the next few hours.
