This one might be tough to identify. I work in a profession where we deal with a lot of immigrants and refugees, especially from Africa, and many times they move here and their families may not know exactly where in the US they are and/or lose contact with them once they move. I would hope that NYPD contacted the Ghana consulate to find out if the decedent recently immigrated or came to this country.
