"The family of missing Richmond Hill man Shandy Harricharrandas are calling on the public to help after he failed to pick up his son from school.

Harricharrandas, 40 — also known as Shawn — was last seen leaving his Castle Rock Drive home for work at 8:10 a.m on Wednesday, York Regional Police said. He was heading toward Guelph for a meeting in Cambridge.

His sister Shelini told CBC News that he had dropped his son off at school and promised to pick him up for T-ball that afternoon. The family called police after he didn't make it back.

Harricharrandas was driving a 2013 black Honda Accord with the licence plate BRZY 163 and is thought to have exited Highway 407 to Highway 401 at around 9:53 a.m. The car has a Transformers logo covering the front Honda emblem, Shelini said.

Harricharrandas is described as standing 5'10" and weighing 170 pounds. He has short black curly hair and a tattoo of his name on his upper right arm and another of a dancing Shiva on his upper left arm.

He was wearing a dark-coloured shirt and dress pants when he was last seen."

What a strange way of wording his travels--he was travelling toward Guelph, ON for a meeting in Cambridge, ON. Why not say he was heading to a meeting in Cambridge, ON? Maybe he had to go to Guelph before the meeting.

Not a lot of information available about this case. I wonder if they have cameras data to corroborate some of these assumptions of where he may have exited etc.

This is worrying, imo.

Police searching for missing father from Richmond Hill
"Shandy Harricharrandas left his Richmond Hill home Wednesday morning for a client meeting in Guelph and hasn’t been seen since. His family grew concerned when he missed his five-year-old son’s t-ball practice that evening.

Police said Harricharrandas doesn’t have a history of going missing or any health issues.

Police and his family told Global News they think he suffered a head injury when he fell down the stairs 10 days before going missing.

“A couple times in the past week he complained of blurred vision and nausea,” his mom Veda Harricharrandas told Global News.

“He might have had a concussion and not even known.”

Veda added that Shandy thought the symptoms would soon go away.

Police said the Richmond Hill father was last seen by a woman in Tottenham on Thursday at 4 p.m., driving at 30-35 km/hr dazed and confused. He was driving a black 2013 four-door Honda Accord with a transformers logo sticker covering the front Honda emblem, police said. The car has the license plate BRZY 163."

If he exited 407 to 401 then Tottenhman is not en route. I hope that he's safely recovering in hospital somewhere.

Did he ever arrive for the client meeting in Guelph? Here is a new map:

Google Maps

Highway 407 - Highway 401 Connector -- Seen at 9:53 AM (which google maps says is a 28 minute drive from his residence)

The Tottenham report doesn't seem to be valid, he never arrived at the meeting he was supposed to be having. This case has an eerie similarity to the Eugene Kim case.

He was supposedly seen in Tottenham on Thursday in the afternoon, which is a day after he left home (Wednesday morning). Where did he spend the night?

Is there an MSM source stating he never attended the meeting? Did LE state that the sighting in Tottenham wasn't Shandy?

TY @indicolite22 for catching the important detail that the sighting was on Thursday! Shandy would have been gone from home for about 30 hours at that point, if the sighting is correct.

His Thursday sighting was revealed to the media by LE. In the next sentence the article mentioned a Transformers sticker on the front logo of his Honda. If the witness reported that detail (no idea if they did), it was likely his car.

Doesn't Ontario have a significant amount of cameras on the roadways, looking at vehicles getting on and off the HWY?

If they do I wonder why LE can't clearly state where this vehicle was last seen.....

Yes he would need a passport.
Thank you. His family must know if his passport is missing.

I haven't seen the date when he crossed mentioned. Was it the same day he went missing? Nothing has been revealed regarding his phone either. His family seems to think that he might have lost it. Have the police obtained his phone records at all?

which means I think that he intended to and made plans to 'go missing'
Wondering if the fall down the stairs and his presumed concussion might have caused the change in behavior/ direction?

If he is a landed immigrant and not a Canadian Citizen he would need more than just a Passport to gain entry to the US. He would also have had to have a Visa and you can't just get a Visa at the drop of a hat. You have to apply for it.
