Chesterfield County police are searching for two men who were last seen Saturday, were reported missing on Sunday and were believed to have gone fishing at an unknown location.

Walter Lee Carter, 71, of the 19100 block of Braebrook Drive in Chesterfield, left his residence Saturday to pick up Calvin Donell Baskerville, 55, of the 1100 block of Sussex Street in Petersburg. Police said the two left in Carter’s blue 2002 Nissan Frontier — with Virginia handicap license plate 417260 — for a day of fishing, but it is not known where they went. They were reported missing by relatives Sunday

Carter is described as a black male, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 216 pounds. He is bald with brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark blue shirt and blue jeans. He is in need of prescription medications.

Baskerville is described as a black male, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 198 pounds. He is bald with brown eyes. Baskerville was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue jeans. He also is in need of prescription medications.

Anyone with information about Carter or Baskerville’s whereabouts should contact the Chesterfield Police Department at (804) 748-1251 or Crime Solvers at (804) 748-0660 or through the P3 Tips app.

Two bodies were discovered Tuesday in a pond on private property near Old Stage Road in Dinwiddie County, according to Virginia State Police.

Thanks for starting this thread, anonypotomous.
How sad.
Sounds like they were in a boat and it tipped over ?
And maybe neither could swim, nor were they wearing life vests ?
Some people don't wear them.
There have been times I didn't wear a life jacket, since I can swim.... But no longer.
In some states it's required to wear a life jacket if you're on a boat of any size.
