The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)
Circumstances of Recovery
Skeletal remains were originally found scattered in a desert area just east of US highway 93 at mile marker 66 by Red Rock Search and Rescue on January 12, 2019, and reported them to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) on January 14th. LVMPD scheduled a search for January 15th, however due to heavy rain the search was postponed until the area had time to dry out. On January 30th, 2019, anthropologists from the Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner accompanied LVMPD and collected the remains after determining that they were in fact human.
