Found Safe CA - Rich Tyrrell, 47, Temecula, 8 July 2019

Hey guys, new to site thought I'd post to clarify some things regarding bank accounts being "drained". I work closely with fraud investigators and can say unequivocally that no traditional checking/savings account can be emptied via atm unless there is very low funds to begin with. Many algorithms are in place to prevent a series of large transactions on consecutive days outside of normal account activity. Some of you have probably experienced this (security hold) while on road trips, vacation etc. Furthermore removing said hold always requires additional information only an account holder would be privy to.
What about a large check that would be e-deposited? We assume atms but there are other ways to drain an account quickly. And ways to cover up the transfer (using the account of a dead person) etc. jmo

No credit line was taken. He won a fair amount of money but not enough that you have to fill in tax paperwork. Hope that helps. His atm card had a high daily limit, and there was enough money to pay bills etc, not much more.

Ok, so my guess is that would be less than $5k which shouldn’t be life changing for anyone to risk killing a man over. That combined with the fact he kept cash in that account relatively low (just bills and not much else) makes me feel a bit more hopeful. I was praying for him and those who are close to him today.

Thank you for the prayers. I'm feeling super hopeful today. The detective is working really hard.

So most places you pay tax on any winnings over $1200.00, which still isn’t as Roadettet stated killing a man over. But some people get greedy when it comes to any amount of money

I think it depends if you were on slots vs table games. My brother works at pechanga and I thought he told me a long time ago they only take taxes out if you net over 5k. I'll ask him tomorrow.

Well that's not totally accurate. I think you both may have missed something...with that said it could be a mis quote I guess.
"Sattelmaier said it's unclear exactly what happened next, but she says Temecula police detectives told her a ride-share driver dropped him off somewhere in Los Angeles County."
Bank Accounts Drained, Phone is Dead. Where is Rich?

DBM as mrstfs already responded similarly.

Any winnings over $1199 won on 1 bet require them to issue a 1099. It’s your decision if you want taxes out. He could have won any amount just not over $1199 at one time. If playing at a table his chips would be stacked up visibly or if he cashed out from a machine the amount is on the screen. Likely someone overheard him or was watching him. Lots of people like to look at people winning.

Was the rideshare driver the same guy he was with at the bar in the casino? Then he shared the ride with the other guy? Or is the rideshare driver someone different? Hopeful for today, that it will bring good news.

Yes, the ride share guy was the guy at the bar with the other guy. Detective told Marcy that they dropped Rich off in Compton. Hoping for good news today! He is still missing. Nothing new since last night.

interesting! why make a second facebook

I would not make to much out of a second FB page. I have like 10 friends that all have more than one. For whatever reason people seem to do this. Perhaps they lose access somehow and create a 2nd one. Perhaps they just are not very savvy at all when it comes to computers and the internet. Either way it happens all the time for various reasons.

I didn’t see your post before deletion

We are all adults here and can discuss, only children bicker...

I missed the post as well. I’ve been known to say stupid things every once and awhile so a little healthy debate is always good. People 100% can have differing views on things. Especially in a place like this where we are trying to help a family find a missing person.

I meant bickering in the world of websleuths rules, lol. I was questioning your comment about “keeping a girlfriend”. I didn’t understand the point you were making but my question was irrelevant to finding Rich and didn’t come across well in written form so I deleted it.
