It sounds far fetched, but this John Doe has black hair that is also partially balding. He has a tattoo of MOM on one arm and an eagle with illegible letters underneath, is that akin to a USN tattoo depicting his rank? He was found in Philadelphia in 1981.

I see the discrepancy between the eagle and the anchor tattoo. But looking online it appears the USN logo varies. There is a USN logo with an eagle and also a USN logo with an anchor. Could the family just have said a USN tattoo?

Im not American so you’ll have to excuse my ignorance, I Going to look into this further.

I could be very wrong, but I’m wondering what others think… ?
