Missing woman’s disappearance in North Battleford, Sask. considered suspicious

She is described as approximately five-foot two, 110 pounds, with long black hair, and brown eyes.

Morin was last seen wearing grey sweatpants, a black T-shirt with white writing on it, a black hat and sunglasses.

Last month, Battlefords RCMP said Morin may be with Alyssa Faye Bear, 30, who has outstanding warrants for her arrest.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Battlefords RCMP at 306-446-1720 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

I hope Ashley-Dawn turns up safe and sound.

Perhaps she will realize that the person she is thought to be with (having warrants against her) is not the person she should be with. Then hopefully she will come back home safely.

Hoping for a good outcome.

Unfortunately very bad news:

"NORTH BATTLEFORD, SASK.—Mounties say they believe a Saskatchewan woman who went missing a year ago was the victim of a homicide.

Police say Ashley Morin, who would now be 32 years old, was last seen in North Battleford on July 10, 2018.

Investigators say they believe she was killed based on information they have received through numerous Crime Stoppers tips and witness statements. They also say officers have found no cellphone usage, as well as no social media or bank account activity, linked to Morin throughout the year.

RCMP are releasing an image of a van in the hope that it or its occupants can be identified."

"Saskatchewan RCMP have been in contact with the families in two separate suspicious missing persons cases after human remains were found near North Battleford.

According to police on Friday, North Battleford RCMP and the RCMP major crimes unit were conducting a ground search in a rural area outside of North Battleford on Thursday “in relation to an ongoing investigation.” During the search, a canine with the North Battleford RCMP police dog services unit discovered the remains.

An autopsy has been scheduled for next week to confirm the identity. RCMP would not discuss the exact location of the search or confirm gender or any details of the remains. A spokeswoman did confirm that there are only two active suspicious missing persons investigations in the North Battleford area. Investigators have been in contact with the families of Ashley Morin and Tiki Brook-Lyn Laverdiere families, the spokeswoman said. The two unrelated disappearances are being investigated by RCMP as homicides."

"Ashley Morin’s family and friends gathered in front of the Saskatoon police headquarters early Friday morning, the starting point for a walk to North Battleford to raise awareness about her disappearance.

The walk started around 9 a.m. after participants listened to remarks, prayed and made final preparations with accompanying vehicles. The walk is expected to take three days, with stops including Borden and Maymont. Members of the Saskatoon police traffic unit accompanied the group to the edge of the city.

Many wore red T-shirts bearing a photo of Morin, who is from Ahtahkakoop First Nation, with the hashtag #BringAshHome."

The remains found were Tiki's, not Ashley's:

As six suspects in Tiki Laverdiere’s homicide begin to move through the courts, the family of Ashley Morin are still looking for answers.

Morin, 31 at the time, has been missing since July, 10, 2018.

Exactly one year after she disappeared, RCMP said they believe Morin was the victim of homicide. That same day, they released images of a two-tone van seen at the corner of 96 St. and 16 Ave. in North Battleford on July 10, 2018, at about 9:30 p.m. This is one of the locations Morin was last seen.

Not rocket science. Looked on AM's FB page. More than one photo is "liked" by Soaring Eagle Whitstone. Who is SEW? She is charged in the death of Tiki Laverdiere
I'd say an obvious connection. Were they in the same gang? Opposing? Just a random? SEW describes herself as "Gang Boss at WESTSIDE OUTLAW UNIVERSITY" on her FB account.

Saskatchewan RCMP charge 6th person in Tiki Laverdiere homicide
This is just terrible! One of the victims own daughter was involved in her killing! Just sickening! Five women- all adults, you can't even blame this on teen behavior- were involved. How many deaths are they involved in now- is it three?

Good find, and may the victims RIP. I am so glad that they are behind bars. Just sick.
