Victim: Dr. Teresa Ann Grace Sievers

This is what attorneys do. They challenge everything, which sets up grounds for appeal on every single thing they challenged. It delays, but it is also a strategy. It also drains resources for the state, who has other cases racking up. Can get a good offer to settle or even lead to a withdraw of charges. But prosecutors aren't big on having it strung out.

It's in defense attys self interest to drag proceedings out. Depending on case particulars, that can help defendant, or merely drain their assets. I feel badly for innocent relatives who mortgage houses etc for their obviously guilty family whom they believe to be innocent.

Lawyers for two men accused in killing of Teresa Sievers ask courts to delay June trial

The continuance requested Thursday cites that a newly appointed mitigation specialist had been unable to meet deadlines imposed by the court. The filed document indicates Siever's defense would be able to meet a September trial date.

The document also states that co-defendant Rodgers' mitigation specialist has several cases and may not be prepared for a June trial. Also, a February report by the FBI on trace analysis would require Rodgers to hire an expert witness.

The report said Rodgers would not be ready for a June trial as a result. The judge has not yet ruled on the request.

Rodgers is represented by public defender Kathleen M. Fitzgeorge. Sievers' attorney is Matthew Mummert of Faga Law Group of Naples.

It was comforting to see the NBC2 anchors wearing purple, tonight--on the anniversary of the discovery (by another loving and caring doctor), of the slaughtered body of Dr. Teresa Ann Grace Sievers. May God bless the minds and souls of those who came to her aid, and to those who continue to move forward towards complete and ultimate justice.

Victim: Dr Teresa Sievers

I can’t help thinking about the most important person in this thread... the victim.
She was at a family get together, having fun, with those she loved, and was unsuspecting in what would happen to her.
She travelled home alone because of work commitments, and on entering her home, where most people feel the safest, was ambushed, beat to a pulp until dead. Yes, I read the autopsy, more than enough “blows” to “do the job”. It appears she was beaten well after her death, and that is so atrocious and cruel.

The victim was tried and executed in 58 days. At least that’s the time frame from when the Three Stooges got together at tweedle dee’s wedding until the act occurred.

Teresa didn’t get delays in trial.
Teresa didn’t get state funded motions.
Teresa didn’t get to say “ this isn’t fair”
Teresa didn’t get to say the sentence of death is cruel and unusual punishment.
Teresa did get killed in her own house by someone that she knew (her husbands best friend) WTF!!!!

It’s been almost 1500 days that this victim, and all of us, have been waiting for justice.
Where are the rights of the victim and the victims family in all this?

I feel for the victim and all the collateral victims in this case.

Not sure if this is the correct thread to post this, but this seems to be the most active.

Who is Worthy to Play Dr. Sievers?

I'm so glad to hear that people are interested in telling Teresa's story. I hope whoever decides to make the movie considers Jessica Chastain to play the part of Dr. Sievers. Jessica Chastain is a super-talented actress, and I feel she would do Teresa justice. I still feel that Jessica was robbed of a major award for her work in Zero Dark Thirty.

Here is a great article on Jessica.....

Presenting Dr. Sievers

IQ had an excellent idea: Show the jury who Dr. Sievers was by playing one of her videos. This one is good, for starters.....

This one has the famous phrase, "Why do we cling to relationships that we know no longer serve us?" This section starts at 14:45 and hits at 15:20.....

Or play the video that no one got to see at the Funeral Mass. Resurrect her in the eyes of her killer!

I hope the prosecutors reveal that before Dr. Sievers expanded and focused on holistic healing, she was highly respected as a Board Certified Doctor of Internal Medicine at Naples Community Hospital. She was click-cracking down the halls of NCH long before Restorative Health and Healing. And she was chewing gum and kicking *advertiser censored* there, too.

Other doctors would rush to greet her. Nurses, CNAs, and anybody that could hear her heels coming would scurry about , making sure that everything that was supposed to have been done for the patient was done, and in good order--or she would let them have it! Dr. Sievers FOUGHT for her patients. She didn't just keep the medical staff on their toes, she made them scramble!

People sought out Dr. Sievers for her comprehensive knowledge of health and healing. To this day, it is hard to find an Internist who can tell you what foods, vitamins, herbs, or treatments would benefit your condition, in addition to the regular medications. And further, they do not stay on top of current research and new discoveries, like Dr. Sievers did.

Teresa was vivacious, brilliant, up-lifting, and generous with her positive energy and her time.

The world was robbed on June 28th, 2015.

ARACHNE1
Such a perfect post!!! Yes, Yes....I loved the first video. Pretty, smart, talented and made me excited about cooking healthy food, eating lots of veggies and making time for exercise. This is so tragic. I only got to know her through her videos, the generous sharing of her positive energy from friends & family and yet she changed so much of my life. Her life taken from this world.... because a greedy, low life, soulless creep was afraid the public would find out what a loser he is. Public Service Announcement: MS, “You have been weighed. You have been measured. And you have absolutely been found wanting.”

Complete Justice in Florida

Dr. Sievers' family and friends don't get to visit her on holidays, except to visit a grave. Why should her killers get better accommodations? All of her killers should serve their sentence in Florida, where the crime was committed. If any of these demons are allowed to transfer to MO, my fear is that they'll get off early, 5 years or less, as it seems to be their history of doing so.

The people of Forida demand final and complete Justice for Dr. Teresa Ann Grace Sievers.
