"It is standard practice at the Metropolitan Correctional Center to place people who have been on suicide watch with a cellmate, two people with knowledge of Mr. Epstein’s case said. The theory is a cellmate can provide company to someone who may be suicidal, helping them stave off depression, and can also alert guards in an emergency.

But Mr. Epstein’s cellmate was moved out of the protective housing unit, leaving him alone, the prison official said."

Guards on Jeffrey Epstein’s unit were working extreme overtime shifts to make up for staffing shortages the night of his apparent suicide, a person familiar with the jail’s operations tells The Associated Press.

The person familiar with the Metropolitan Correctional Center’s operations told The Associated Press on Sunday that one guard in Epstein’s unit was working a fifth straight day of overtime and another guard was working mandatory overtime. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because he lacked authorization to discuss jail operations publicly.

There were no cameras covering Epstein's cell.

His estate is going to be tied up f o r e v e r.

Either that or news will come out that - Opps! He wasn't a billionaire after all, but flat broke. No money here, folks, and no idea where it went, if it ever existed. The guy is gone and so is anyone's chance to sue the estate.

The DM I think was trying to promote the visit of the disgraced York (s) to Balmoral as getting the Queen's approval for their supposed re-marriage. Considering the current state of events with Epstein's death and the exploding court cases, I don't think the Queen would ever sanction that. Rather, send them both off to different very quiet and dull places to live dull and ordinary lives and to not appear in public for years. Oh, and Sarah can darn well work to earn her keep.

I don't know what is going on with the Prince but I think the entanglement of Andrew and Fergie has to do with money more than sex. I think Andrew could weather a sex scandal. I think it's something other than that.

As has been asked, why did Fergie need JE to pay off her debts - and what did he get in exchange? And wasn't it Maxwell that introduced the royals to JE? I don't think that introduction was about sex, imo, but for other reasons. What reasons? IDK.

The illegality makes the prostututes apt to be sold, abused and pumped out. I am all for legalizing it. The worst things happen when there is darkness and lack of control.

This will not stop the kind of "sex work" that was going on with Epstein, either way it goes. Taxes on prostitution, nor oversight in the sex worker industry. People who bring under age children (under 18 or 21, if you like), to parties, for the purpose of a 40 something year old man, to have sex with, are usually not open about the type of business they are in.
