3 Bodies Found in Car's Trunk in Bay Terraces

2 women and 1 man. Older silver/gray BMW with a Texas plate. Found almost a week ago.
Scary, and sad no matter who they are. Lots of processing for LE to do here...
Could this possibly be related to Erika's disappearance? San Diego?? Seems unlikely, but strange things do happen.
Erika's case is so frustrating -- as they all are -- but this one has some oddball twists, IMHO.
Is she on the run from LE or from someone worse?

Was she going to testify in any of these trials? That certainly could be a reason for a quick disappearance as well as bad news for her family -- unless LE has put her in protective custody, perhaps asking the family to act as if she is still missing. WAG. (wild azz guess)
She was the one going on trial, she was NOT a witness. In February, she was indicted on 66 counts of credit/debit card abuse and was scheduled to go to trial in November, according to El Paso County court records. In 2017, she was featured on El Paso's most-wanted fugitives list on a charge of criminal mischief over $2,500.

Let's hope an arrest or a case-ending event is imminent -- maybe she has been found and is safe and okay.
LE is often very quiet with something is about to happen.

I agree that the ride-share should have been easy to confirm or rule out right away, and if it was confirmed then there should be a new area of last seen, wherever she was dropped off, to start searching from. I have gotten the sense that LE has been trying to imply she is not missing of her own will by how they have kept pushing her story out there, but with no new info, what can the public do??

All IMOO.

I'm starting to think there's no hope of finding her alive
It could be that she has died at the hands of someone -- if she is in trouble with or on the run from LE and an arrest and trial were imminent -- maybe folks associated with her are/were scared of what she might say to LE.
Or, she somehow could have GTH outta there and is holed-up somewhere far from Texas. Or maybe not too far away and has changed her appearance and has a new name and ID, and is lying low with friends or by herself -- that would seem to be, however, a situation that would be difficult to maintain for long.
A real mystery here, for sure. But a bad ending seems more likely than a good one IMO. We may never find out what happened...

66 charges plus the ones earlier makes me think she may have been caught up in some scam or criminal racket? That would make her endangered, as I’m sure LE would be aware of the circumstances surrounding her charges. That could explain the need for them to post that information and say she’s not voluntarily missing or hiding. Maybe they are thinking more of a set-up or some bad folks.

I don’t know of course, just thinking of what could be.

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — As the weeks tick by since anyone has seen 29-year-old Erika Andrea Gaytan, police and the young mother’s family grow restless — hoping that someone, anyone, has information on her whereabouts.

For the second week in a row, El Paso Police are featuring her disappearance as the “Crime of the Week” and have now definitively said they do not believe she is voluntarily missing or hiding.

Gaytan was last seen on the evening of July 13, when she didn’t return from the “El Reencuentro Norteno” concert at the El Paso County Coliseum.

On the night of the concert, Gaytan was dropped off by a family member at her apartment in the 11400 block of Pebble Hills in East El Paso. Later that evening, she reportedly went with a male friend to the concert at the County Coliseum where she posted a selfie on social media.

Gaytan is the mother of a 7-year-old son, and family members say it’s extremely unlike her to have no communication with him. She has no prior history of disappearing, according to police and they believe the circumstances surrounding her disappearance to be highly suspicious.

Detectives believe that someone has information about what happened to Erika Gaytan and are asking for the public’s assistance in finding her.

Gaytan is described as 5’4″ tall, 120 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes, and a medium complexion. She was last seen wearing the white dress depicted in her missing persons photo.

Anyone with information on this case should call Crime Stoppers of El Paso immediately at 566-8477(TIPS), or online at www.crimestoppersofelpaso.org. You will remain anonymous and, if your tip leads to an arrest, you may qualify for a cash reward.
