How adorable is that little boy? I hope he is found safe and sound.

I wonder why they haven't mentioned the mother after he went missing- did she have custody of him? Where is she and why haven't they said when the last time the mother saw him? Who reported this darling as being missing?

“It’s quite a close-knit community, especially the families whose kids play together.”

Our reporter Oprah Flash is in Selly Oak talking to local residents. One resident said:

On Monday evening, I saw a handful of police officers patrolling the street, it made me wonder what was going on.

I hadn’t heard anything about it.

There are a lot of children that play in this street. It’s quite quiet, the only time there is any noise is when the kids are playing.

It’s quite a close-knit community especially the families whose kids play together.

How Child Rescue Alert works
Child Rescue Alert is a system designed to alert the public, as quickly as possible, to a missing child.

If you register, you receive alerts by phone or email to tell you that a child is in danger in your local area.

Child Rescue Alerts are expected to be raised very infrequently. It is expected that there will be up to 12 each year.

Most of these will be issued locally only so you are likely to receive even fewer.

It is free to sign up and the alerts cost nothing to reach you. The Child Rescue Alert website will be updated when the child is found.
