Craddock said in his opening address ..............................
The forensic search did not turn up any clues.
Neither did the "hundreds" of alleged sightings called into Strike Force Rosann investigators, the $1 million reward proffered by then-premier Mike Baird, the canvas and "recanvas" of Kendall's residents, the checking of CCTV and the investigation of up to 600 persons of interest.

That kind of suggests that the piece of red fluff, and the piece of hair that were found nearby, were not linked to William. jmo.

However the same article also says ...

At 9.45am, William’s foster mother took three photographs of the boy.“.

Which we now know isn’t actually true... there were at least 5 photos and they weren’t taken at 9.45 am

Just making the point that not all you read in the media is the truth ...

And this is what frustrates me also ! I'm sure I read in another article that the final photos were time stamped 9.37 & 9.39 am ??

i

is this the pool that had tin in the bottom and wasnt being used ?

Wasn't it 'Tin Over ' ?

Of course, but that in turn does not mean that all information reported is untrue. Unfortunately, the media is often all we have.

Good question Katinna. IMO if only we could answer some of these type of questions ! Plug the Gaps & the answer is there

I've had 3 attempts at a timeline ( as per my thoughts) with a few considerations, but my iPad collapsed as it so often does - possibly in consideration of sparing you my ramblings !

Power to the Cause
No not at all, would be interested in what you call your ramblings, :)
Think i will change my username, that's twice i have been called "Kat" something and i'm not even a cat person haha. If it's too long of a name to write, "Kari" will do for me, :)

Yes Kite ... good pick up....

I wonder where this info was obtained?
Was it just released by Police to the media
or is it “journalism at its finest” ???

Edit to add ....
And could “blue” also be “teal” ??? The car that FM saw doing the u-turn ??? From the discussion here a lot of people thought that car sounded like a Ford ...

Hi SLouTh,
I do think it's quite possible that 'blue' / 'teal' can be one & the same, depending on light , time of day, sun reflections etc.

I've tried to do a Timeline as I thought it may be helpful for us, but my iPad keeps on crashing (new one on the list with the a lotto win for sure )

Are you thinking along the lines of:

-someone specifically seeking out red fluff (actually linked to William) as they knew where to look?

Or

- someone planting red fluff as a "red herring" ?

In both scenarios the motivation for the finder is being seen as a being helpful/heroic to deflect attention away from any other lines of enquiry?

My thoughts are more in line with a red herring. I am a bit suss as to why Savage did not go to help his in-need brother that day, as planned.
Needing to search for William who had police, SES, and many others searching for him doesn't hold water for me.

As well, it might be that he didn't even go to his brother's aid later - as JLZ said Savage's initials appear to be in at least several places on the search map. And that map covers days and weeks of searches.

does anyone have a link the transcript released recently?

I’m not sure if they are available online? I think you can apply to the Coroners Court for them .. but not sure if you have to pay??
There was part of a transcript in a recent media article .... I think SoSo has a link for that..,

BBM, That is strange for sure. Was there any further explanation as to why he didn't go to help his brother? I hope he at least let him know he wasn't going to make it that day?
Wonder how well he knew his lady friend he chatted to? Did he chat to her every time he went for a walk? Maybe the lost time he was supposedly out searching if true, was spent in the company of his lady friend? Maybe she was a friend with benefits?

ABC News are not usually the culprits of inaccurate reporting, in this regard. Though they are also not usually on the cutting edge of investigative journalism in cases like this. imo
Still thinking that Mr Chapman may have been asked to go through some kind of police tool, to see if he could identify the vehicle makes/models.

During the almost four-hour interview, Mr Chapman said he didn't take greater note of the cars because: "I sort of didn't realise that, um, that anyone was missing, or taken, or whatever.
"Otherwise I might have taken a bit more notice. It's a shame I didn't," he said.

'The transcript released on Thursday shows that he told investigators he walked onto the front veranda about 10.15am when a vehicle came around the corner'

I'm so disappointed in the accuracy of our MSM reporting .

I've read in other transcripts that Mr Chapman perhaps came inside at approx 10.15am after being out tending his chickens, and he estimated approx 10.45am when he heard a noise that sounded like the postie. He went to that noise, to be confronted by ...

Maybe time we sacked our reporters !

Seems it was a least a couple of days before he headed off. If at all.

The court heard Mr Savage decided to “go off on his own” to search on the Saturday morning, rather than participating in the organised search coordinated by police and SES. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

The court heard Mr Savage spent Saturday morning searching bodies of water before returning home for lunch and then walking his usual daily route to continue searching. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

The court heard Mr Savage continued to search alone on Sunday and “didn’t sign any registers” as part of the organised search effort. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

Wouldn't there have been any CCTV footage of the vehicles in question that RC thinks he saw along the road somewhere considering the manner in which those vehicles were driving, and appeared to him to be in a hurry? Especially if they had of grabbed a child and in a hurry to get out of there as quickly as possible? What direction were they headed in?
I vaguely recall early in this case someone also witnessed a white 4W drive vehicle speeding out of Kendall. What happened with that i wonder?

Where are the cameras when really needed eh ! I so wish here Karinna, but knowing 'regional /country' roads, I doubt they were in existence anywhere around.

In town perhaps - and I think we heard of a couple in place, but to best of my knowledge not heard of any output.

I join you in questioning that speeding 4W, amongst other things

It was stated in one of the Podcasts but this didn't seem to come out at the Inquest.
It was never mentioned at the inquest that he got " lost"

We were shown a walk thru video in court ( this walk thru was just "sprung" on him with no notice & he was aggreable to the same ) of PS & the police where he was asked to show where he went that morning in his " second walk " searching for WT .

He was unable to show exactly where he went thou............

Mr Savage is asked about his planned trip to Casino to pick up his brother. He told the court he thought he called him to let him know he wouldn’t be coming because of the missing boy, but “I’ve been told I didn’t”. @10NewsFirst @10Daily

There was something about him going alone to search for William, after AMS had knocked at his door. He went up the fire trail, and cut through the bush, and he became disoriented and it took him a while to find his way home.

Just been looking for the link. Not finding it at the moment. I think it was probably in a podcast.
