San Antonio police are asking for the public's help in locating a teenage girl after a witness reported seeing the girl forced into a vehicle outside a South Side movie theater Saturday afternoon.

In a Facebook post, police said they were contacted by a concerned citizen who reported witnessing the girl being forced into a light blue KIA Sorrento by two females and a male outside the City Base Entertainment movie theater, 2623 S.E. Military Drive.

The vehicle has the Texas license plate CXT8558, according to police.

When officers arrived at the theater the vehicle was gone. A subsequent search of the area and residential address where the vehicle is registered found nothing, police said.

The victim is described as a Hispanic female between 14 and 17, about 5 feet, 120 pounds, with a ponytail.

Police said they are looking for two Hispanic females in their early 20s and a Hispanic male, seen driving the vehicle, in his late 40s or early 50s.

There have been no reports of a missing teenager that matches the description since the initial call. According to SAPD, the incident does not yet meet the criteria for an Amber Alert.

With no teens being g reported missing, makes me worry that it might be her family mistreating her like that.
Was that the wrong tag/license number? If it was a family issue, they should be able to run that tag.
If it was a stolen plate then this might be an actual kidnapping.

They've already been to the residence and....nothing.

Of course they could be hiding the child. I hope they are looking into it more. Sounds like the girl was in trouble (maybe she wasn't supposed to be at the movies?) and they were harsh with her and don't want to admit it....

Yes, sounds like it might be something like that.

I am not going to judge the family at this point, if they were just doing 'tough love' thing on their kid. Maybe she lied about where she was going, and was at the movies with an older boy?

I sent my son to 'extract' my daughter from a few high school parties when I knew there was drinking etc. going on. He had to escort her out of the parties without her consent a few times.

There is nothing more terrifying than raising a 14 yr old that likes to push the envelope. o_O

Not a kidnapping, no charges to be filed. Sounds like she was being disciplined by the family (was out somewhere or with someone she shouldn't be)? There's a fine line between that and abuse, of course, but it does appear that LE is satisfied that she's safe and no harm has come to her.

My son turns 12 soon and I am dreading the teenage years.
