Sara McNease's last known location was in the Spokane Community College parking lot, where her car and personal belongings were found.

McNease functions at an age younger than 17. They have reason to believe she's with an unknown man, but said the exact circumstances are not known.

McNease is described as 5'6" and around 200 pounds, with blonde curly hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans and boots.

Doing a bit of digging....

Her car and phone were found in the college parking lot.

Where are those items now? Wouldn't Police have those for an active investigation. If for example, a mom had them, I'm surprised they were returned so quickly.

Her FB name and the name on this thread are not the same. May be more helpful to get those combined?

Sara McNease also goes by Sara Gracelyn Vincent. She did not arrive home from attending her Running Start classes.

McNease called her mother when she arrived at the SCC campus for her Running Start classes at about 8 a.m.

Her daughter normally attends a club meeting on campus on Tuesdays before heading home.

After McNease’s phone went straight to voicemail, Vincent called the president of the club her daughter usually attended after class.

“He said she didn’t make it to the meeting,”

Her mother drove to SCC and unlocked the car for police. The keys were sitting on the seat inside the locked car, and her phone and backpack were left inside. The phone had been reset to factory settings.

A note sitting in the car said she had left with her boyfriend. The note was signed with McNease’s legal name, not the name she commonly uses, and wasn’t in McNease’s handwriting.

Her mother has access to her daughter’s phone records and social media accounts and said McNease didn’t contact anyone out of the ordinary over the last month.

“She has autism with bipolar and PTSD,” her mother said. “She functions very high until it’s an emotional aspect, and then she functions at 12 or 13 years old.”

Wow, I’m surprised her mother is comfortable with her driving alone. ( since she can function so much younger)

She had to have contacted someone, unless the person she is with, she only knows from the school. But it seems almost impossible there would be no phone or sm media records.

So strange. I hope she is found safe soon.

Sara's account puts out a noticeable positive outlook:)

Awwe, She is adorable. I love the picture with her black glasses.

Everything in this post is very troubling.

Any other incidents on that campus lately?

I agree about wondering if someone in the group took an interest in her.

Somebody took the time to reset her phone and write that note. Scary. And duh, would they know it would be noticed it wasn’t her handwriting? Stalling for time, moo. Hopefully forensics gets a lead.

Hopefully there are some prints or partial prints on that letter?

How would mom be able to confirm that she hadn't been talking to anyone new/out of the ordinary recently if her phone had been reset?

'Sara, if you are listening, please come home': Family of missing Spokane teen begs for her return

Attorney Jill Hogberg described the teen as a "good girl" who was actively engaged in school. Hogberg said the family had no reason to suspect McNease had any intention of running away.
Hogberg said a note was found in McNease's car and indicated she ran away to Idaho with her boyfriend. McNease's family and friends said they were unaware that she was involved in any type of romantic relationship.

Also noted she called her mom at 8:10 but never made it to her 8:30 class.
That’s not a very large window of time IMO.

“They have reason to believe she's with an unknown man, but said the exact circumstances are not known.”

So, do they have some information to which we are not yet privy, or does the above quote refer to the boyfriend mentioned in the note?

Sure this is an obvious possibility in any case but for them to say this specifically, “man”. The handwriting could look like a male’s, but there may be something else, evidence of communication perhaps, if the above quote is not based on the “boyfriend” note.

It sounds like she did make it to class, but not the meeting after? Or I am reading this wrong. I'm hoping said ' boy' is in that class or that meeting and they can find out who's not been back to class since.
That is such a vast area of forest and small population. These cases are a lot easier in bigger cities with more eyes, cars and cameras everywhere.

I would like to know what kind of searches are being done in the area. The school is very close to part of the river, which would make easier to discard of smaller evidence like a notepad or pen that could have been used to write the note. She had to either have been intimidated and thought she was in danger, causing her to leave with someone, left with someone she knew, or taken by multiple people since she isnt exactly an easy girl to just grab off the streets. If it was someone who knew her well, why would they use her legal name? It suggests they either copied it from her ID or only knew her by that name, meaning it could be an estranged family member or professor. If it was someone who worked at the school she would have been more likely to trust them. This does not sound like someone who is mentally slow as much as it is someone who suffers emotional outbursts in certain situations so I do not see it likely she was targeted for that reason. I believe she was targeted because she was apart of a program which made her status as a minor indisputable
