Police say Miranda Belle, 31, has been missing since Aug. 17, 2019
Winnipeg police are asking for the public’s help finding a missing woman.

Miranda Belle, 31, was last seen Aug. 17 in the Grant Park area.

Belle is 5’6″, 100 lbs., with medium-length brown hair and brown eyes.

Police are worried about Belle’s well-being.

Anyone with information on Belle’s whereabouts is asked to call the Winnipeg police missing persons unit at 204-986-6250.

Have WPS given any more details why they are worried for her well-being? Do they suspect foul play? Does she have a condition that requires specialized care?

Police in Winnipeg are looking for a woman who has been missing for more than three weeks.

Miranda Belle, 31, was last seen on Aug. 17 in Winnipeg’s Grant Park area.

She is described as five foot six, 100 pounds, with medium-length brown hair and brown eyes.

She doesn't appear to have an FB that I can find, but did find an announcement on the Winnipeg Police Service FB page, dated September 10. There's one comment by her mother that is quite concerning.

MISSING PERSON – MIRANDA BELLE: R19-56450

The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing 31-year-old female, Miranda BELLE.

BELLE was last seen in the evening of Saturday, August 17, 2019 in the Grant Park area of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

BELLE is described as Metis (my note: Metis refers to specific communities that trace their origin to First Nations and European settlers, primarily the French), 5’6”, 100lbs, with medium length brown hair and brown eyes.

Police are concerned for BELLE’s well-being and are asking anyone with information regarding her whereabouts to contact the Winnipeg Police Service Missing Persons Unit at 986-6250.

The Winnipeg Police Service continues to request the public's assistance with locating a missing 31-year-old female, Miranda BELLE. She was last seen during the evening of Saturday, August 17, 2019, in the Grant Park area of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

BELLE is described as Metis, 5’6” in height, 100lbs, with medium length brown hair and brown eyes.

Investigators with the Winnipeg Police Missing Persons Unit, in collaboration with the Homicide Unit, believe the circumstances around Bell's disappearance are suspicious and that she may have been a victim of foul play.

Police are requesting residents and businesses in and around Winnipeg to check their properties, fields, and outbuildings as well as consider reporting anything suspicious that may have occurred during the evening of Saturday, August 17, 2019.

The Fall season brings a loss of foliage in the woods as well as a significant number of hunters roaming rural areas. Investigators want to remind people to be cognizant of any unusual items they may find. Items that may seem insignificant to the casual observer may have significant relevance to the investigation. If anything suspicious is located, do not touch it or disturb the area around it. Instead, the public is asked to immediately call police.

Investigators have identified a vehicle that may be associated with Miranda’s disappearance. The vehicle is a grey coloured 2012 Dodge Caravan.

Anyone who may have observed a similar vehicle that appeared out of place or acting suspiciously during the evening of Saturday, August 17, 2019 is asked to call investigators.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding her disappearance or whereabouts to contact the Winnipeg Police Service Missing Persons Unit at 986-6250.

Harvey said the last call from Belle's cellphone was made at 12:32 a.m. on Aug. 18. She called a friend, asking to be picked up from an address on Dudley Avenue.

"It was a distress call asking for help," Harvey said. "She needed to leave the place she was at."

"I hate standing up here and not being forthcoming, but in the midst of an investigation where we aren't able to give you a conclusion that everybody wants, I'm going to respond like this.… If we have a sense of what happened, that means we have a sense as to suspect or suspects, and we have a sense as to timelines, and we have a sense as to events," he said.

The weather is becoming outright dangerous. I hope they aren’t out there this weekend; her recovery is not worth risking anyone's life or limbs, not with the way visibility's going.
