being missed, Livingston sherriff sbould have called in state police ( sounds like the sherriff and Perkins had the " Good 'ole Boy " talk ) Someone needs look into Sherriff Li vingston. If this had been looked into properly, who kows how many children could have been saved the humiliation Perkins inflicted.
 
Dennis Perkins to be held without bond; hires high-profile attorney

The former head of a Livingston Parish SWAT team has agreed to be held without bond in connection to child *advertiser censored* and rape charges.

Perkins has hired high-profile defense attorney David Bourland to represent him.

The Livingston Parish Attorney General’s Office was prepared to discuss evidence in Wednesday’s hearing. Bourland asked for the evidence to be held until his client’s next hearing, which will be on Dec. 19.

Just read the article. Sounds to me like Jason Are is trying to cover his butt, blaming deputy Webb for not wanting to file a compliment. He knew and he ignored it. They need to look into him.

Ard tried to do damage control in this PC which was an epic fail IMO. He blamed the stepfather and also the mother of the child. The stepfather was the one that brought this matter to the attention of Ard 5 years ago.

Now he says we shouldn’t be focused on the past, but the crime that has occurred. Had he done his due diligence 5 years ago, perhaps it would have saved those victims.

“This thing has gotten refocused on something else that we shouldn’t be focused on. We should be focused on these victims and the crime that has already occurred," Ard said. “You can’t take action on a crime that had not occurred. There was no crime.”
 
LSP releases report on 2013 Dennis Perkins incident
Sellers says the man told him the teenage girl was brought to a counselor and the counselor said he believed Perkins was “grooming her” for potential inappropriate behavior in the future.

“The counselor told him that he believed Perkins had done this before and would do it again,” the LSP report says.

Dennis Perkins’ defense attorney, David Bourland, called the concern over numerous juvenile victims “absurd” and said Perkins “is in an innocent man.”

“We will not try this case by media, hysteria or drama,” Bourland said as he walked away from reporters positioned outside the Livingston Parish Courthouse Wednesday morning.

IMO There were 2 crimes committed -1) the Perkins 2) Ard turning a blind eye to what he was told. Webb reported what happened to his superior, Ard failed. Hope the people do not re election him

Parent: Child was innocent victim in couple's 'cruel, sick games'

WALKER- A parent, who the WBRZ Investigative Unit is not identifying, said investigators told her last week that her child was positively identified on two different occasions being served what is believed to be tainted food brought to a school by Cynthia Perkins.

The parent said she asked point-blank if her child ate food that was allegedly contaminated with bodily fluids. She said the investigators were vague but did say her child was photographed in November 2018 and May 2019.

The parent said during her meeting, investigators identified the food served was donuts and a cupcake-like item.

"She will be tested for anything and everything that I can get her tested for," the parent said.

The Investigative Unit has confirmed through multiple sources that dozens of parents met with investigators last week. This parent said she was brought in individually and does not know about any other children who may have been involved.
