I was wondering the same thing. Ronald Chapman said he had known the officer - Wendy? - since she was a baby. And spoke to her sister - Allison? - in January about his sighting.

True; simpler to go via Laurieton than Johns River.

I would find it surprising that, if Hudson followed them twice to prevent tailing, one paper chose to report only one of the incidents and another paper only the other.

My main point was that Hudson's concern was media tailing, but if there were two incidents, it hasn't been said that that was her focus on the second occasion.

Yes agree, it is way too late now. Like the vehicles on the street the morning WT went missing. If that had of been an Amber Alert, the vehicles would of been of vital importance there and then, not a year later IMO.

That's all well and good, but i don't think the fact was ever in dispute because police had that footage early on in the case though. I don't think anyone would doubt they went to Maccas if police had that evidence? <modsnip>

The other sad aspect to this is the person in question seems to be deeply affected by the conspiracy theories and ferocity of judgement surrounding the case. Things that have boiled up in the gap left by accurate information; no thanks to tabloid reports and online forums.

No excuse for him; but sometimes an environment produces the inevitable.

And sometimes a stalker and self described career criminal produces his own environment. imo


A vigilante who 'seems to think he is the avenging angel of justice' was jailed for 34 days for stalking William Tyrrell's foster father.
Despite being ruled out as suspects, self-described 'career criminal' Vlahos has continued to attack William's carers.

In court, the magistrate said 'there's absolutely no reason or basis (for Vlahos) to behave like this'.
He ordered the man surrender his phone.

He was hit with a community corrections order for the stalking charge, and sentenced to prison for committing an indictable offence while on bail.

yes, i agree, we all know they went to mcdonalds, it was verified by police,
it is very important evidence, so why now are they releasing this footage which should have been released the first week? so much secrecy, and why were the fc escorted to the beach and trailed home, at that stage were media really flying around in helicopters?

I would say that the media were trailing everyone, including the police. There is no law against doing that - imo - as long as they are not stalking or harassing, or breaching court orders.

I also think that the police expect people to believe them when they say someone has been cleared.
Why release this info now? Perhaps to try to quell the relentless disbelievers, perhaps to try to keep William's profile up in the public eye?

Agree, there is a lot about this case i just don't understand?
I wasn't aware of any media flying around in helicopters, only police i think?

There is another media release..i cant watch it from nz..would you be able to find another link..a bit about williams sister

And possibly the Westpac Chopper .... which is used for Search and Rescue ..... but I can’t find anything on Media Helicopters either...
