Your post makes me wonder if any officers, of the law enforcement agencies in that area, reported stolen uniforms or other gear? It has happened before.
You wonder if there were any other reports in or around Springfield of police impersonators.

The parking still possibly indicates some one pulled in , or was already in the drive .

You can say long day, they were tired ect but don’t really buy it .

Not sure how through processing of the vehicles were , and had some limitations in 1992.

If you were tired you think you'd park in the street or one person would. Especially if they didn't want to block Sherrill in. I wonder if neighbors noticed anything weird besides the van. Graduation night could mean people were all over the place.

That was always my instinct on it too. Suzie's car seems to line up with the front door, and I assume Sherrill would have been up running errands or maybe even working that Sunday morning if things hadn't played out the way they did. Didn't Nigel also mention in the Crime Watch Daily episode that Suzie always parked in the carport? Judging from the photos of her and Sherrill on the porch with Cinnamon, Sherrill's car was parked there, so I guess that was her usual spot.

I think that could be possible but it might just have been a profile which isn't 100%. With the amount of people in the house after they were missing that could have affected whatever police saw. Also the timeline might be questionable, There were other alleged sightings at Apco and Georges. Janelle and other friend would seem like more concrete witnesses. They could have been covering for something Stacy or maybe Suzie were doing or hiding something stupid like that they had a fight and it snowballed into something that might have been more important than they realized at first. That could change where the abduction occurred and everything else. Moo
A cop could use the guise of pulling over two women even as they pulled into the driveway. If told they needed to come to the station for some reason or told they failed a breathalyzer that would be a way to get them into a vehicle. That doesn't explain the clothes unless they changed or someone staged the scene. IDK

well he went on all the information made available to him so I’m positive they have a reason to believe it was somebody known to them.

MOO

So after thinking about this case I think Suzie had to have been who they were after.

Sherrill makes the most logical sense due to the fact that Suzie shouldn’t of even been home but her bedroom certainly doesn’t point to a crime scene and Sherrill had no known enemy’s so if somebody had broken in that night I believe Sherill would of been raped as that’s the most logical conclusion.

So that points to Suzie being the known target and maybe they got followed from the party and thinks escalated so that all 3 had to be shut up.

i agree, but perhaps it was done after the fact. Like a red herring.

Or perhaps it happened when someone abruptly burst into the house. Maybe the door smacked against the wall.

The Associated Press

SPRINGFIELD - An FBI violent crime specialist theorizes that three missing women were abducted by someone at least one of them trusted, and the abductor probably had help from one or more others.

You have to keep in mind that that's just someone's theory though.

They have a lot more evidence to go on than any of us to come up with that theory.

We know next to nothing unfortunately so I believe what they say.

Preview of the People Magazine Investigates episode: Where Are the Springfield 3? Inside the Case That Has Baffled Family and Police for 27 Years

And these photos also on the page, the ones of Suzie and Stacy I hadn't seen before. Hope this can attract some new information and attention towards this case.
Since the purses and cars were all there, is it possible that something is missing from one of the cars or one of the purses? Something that would normally be there.

But the FBI Profiler "Wright" goes on to say that his theory/opinion is based on the "Totality of the Evidence". So if I were to guess, I would say that they have information that wasn't released to the pubic, that pointed the profiler in the direction of his theory/opinion.

Just curious if this applies to detective Asher too?
One thing I will say about Det. Asher, that stood out to me over the years was that, he makes a statement that, "The house looked nice, too nice". Something to that affect. It made me think that what he was thinking at the time was, that the house has possibly been staged, or cleaned up.

One thing that may help solve this is getting the area churches involved. Ask the ministers to tell their congregations if they know anything about a crime and didn't report it, then they are as guilty and sinful as the person that committed that crime. Have them put shame on those people. who knows, if they do this once in a while, someone may start to feel shamed enough to come forward.

the real problem to this case was the inabilty of the researchers to step back from the one case of ( the 3mw ) and instead see this for what it was a link in a chain of cases , steeped in murders , and missing women only one man has accidently given locations of where bodies are buried , and based on what i read in a freedom of infomation request for a report dated in 2011 , the police may be guilty of a cover-up , at best it smells of lack of knowledge , and ineptness , and at worst corruption ,and with that i commence sheryl levitt is under the new pfi , the old pfi being on chestnut and called preferred farm impliments , franciss robb was an employee in the delivery of bulk grain , a serial killer unto himself and convicted of a triple murder at the last , the webster county dig led to by statements of steve garrison was at franciss robbs , robbs portable buildings instead leading to the discovery of buried trucks , tractors , cars , and trailers , and a pond with 16 tons of marked stolen items

Several other people came up missing or were murdered not far from there in 1992. Two of them were Pate and Zywicki. I wonder if there could be any links between these cases?

That's a lot to comprehend. Are you saying Mr R should be number one suspect?

I thought Francis Robb was convicted of killing two people.
