GUILTY UK - Reynhard Sinaga, 36, Manchester, arrested, raped up to 195 men, 6 Jan 2020

I think we can all agree with sentiments in this Yahoo report about the male victims of crime:

Yahoo is now part of Verizon Media:

While the scale of Sinaga’s sexual offending and the way he specifically targeted men who had been drinking, is shocking, the fact that his victims were men should not have been. And yet for many people, it was.

Men are victims of sexual violence perpetrated by both men and women. Indeed, the Crime Survey for England and Wales suggests that over 630,000 men have experienced some form of sexual violence since the age of 16. But given that many men do not disclose their experiences, this number is likely to be much higher.

Part of the problem is that the government incorporates male sexual violence under one overarching cross-government policy: the strategy on ending violence against women and girls(VAWG). This means that cases of male sexual violence are classed as a “VAWG crime”, and this is a problem, for several reasons.

Since they want to crackdown on the communities with which RS had ties, will they also investigate the church community that SG and his mummy regularly attended too?! imo.

Depok to step up crackdown on LGBT communities following citizen Reynhard Sinaga’s multiple rapes conviction in the UK
''Because of Reynhard’s ties to the city, officials in Depok have conflated his crimes with being gay, and using that to justify a renewed crackdown on the marginalized sexual minorities.

In an article published to the Depok city administration’s official website, Mayor Mohammad Idris said authorities are going to conduct raids at public spaces known to be frequented by LGBT people, as well as private spaces like houses and apartments to “prevent the spread of [LGBT] behavior.”

Furthermore, Idris said the city may set up an “LGBT crisis center” as not only a hub for LGBT people to receive treatment, but also a place for those who support the LGBT cause to receive counseling.

“Socially and in accordance with the morals of all religions, which all reject LGBT,” Idris said''

This article had many details and chilling tidbits, but focusing on the victims for now and hoping eventually they will recover as best as possible from the nightmare.
Some might feel a tinge better knowing that at least one of them managed to give the hungry, twisted freak a fist sandwich rbbm.imo, speculation.
The double life of the churchgoing Manchester student who raped up to 200 men
"For these men, the scars of abuse will be long-lasting.

Several spoke of developing depression and anxiety after finding out that they had been the victims of rape and sexual asault.

Some have chosen not to tell their family or friends and have carried the burden alone.

One young man even attempted suicide on Christmas Day after finding out what had happened to him.

He said that when police told him their suspicions about what had happened ‘it crushed me’.

“How could you be so stupid?” he said, of himself, in a victim impact statement.

“Me leaving the club and ending up in someone’s flat was so out of character.

“I don’t deserve this. It’s the first thing I think about in the morning and the last thing I think of at night.”

Another victim was so tormented by his ordeal he asked doctors to remove his colon.

So disturbing was this case to sit on, the jurors who served will never have been exempted from future jury service and have been offered counselling to help them deal with the hours of stomach-churning evidence they saw.

The need to show jurors the evidence in court meant Sinaga could relive his crimes.

He was, a detective observed, enjoying bringing these videos back into the court process.”

He showed, the judge noted, ‘not a jot of remorse’, giving ‘ no thought to the deep distress and lasting psychological damage’ he caused his young victims.

Still, as he smiled at his solicitor in court, giggling on occasion, casually dressed in knitwear or a plaid shirt, he cut an innocuous figure''.

Bid to increase multiple rapist's sentence
''Sinaga targeted at least 190 victims and was "the most prolific rapist in British legal history", the CPS said when he was sentenced on 6 January.''

"Judge Suzanne Goddard QC said he was "an evil serial sexual predator" who had shown "not a jot of remorse" during his trials, which took place across 18 months at Manchester Crown Court.

The Attorney General is due to make a decision about whether to send the case to the Court of Appeal by 3 February."

Exclusive: CPS seeks longer sentence for rapist Reynhard Sinaga
“Whole life sentences are extremely rare and I understand that a whole life order has never been made in a case other than one involving murder,” she said. The judge said she accepted evidence from a forensic drugs expert, Dr Simon Elliott, who said it would be easy to kill someone with GHB, the date rape drug Sinaga is suspected of using to stupify his victims.

“Whilst these offences collectively and individually are of the utmost seriousness, and in my view did involve a risk to life given the evidence of Dr Elliot, the features of torture and violence are absent, and do not involve death or lasting serious physical injury. You are clearly well versed in the necessary doses and mercifully none of the victims suffered any lasting serious physical effects.

“The sole feature that would allow the court to contemplate the passing of a whole life order would be the vast scale of your offending which now involves 48 victims – some 23 in these two trials. This is in my view a borderline case, as described in the authorities, and as such I must therefore shrink back from passing a whole life order. In my judgment you are a highly dangerous, cunning and deceitful individual who will never be safe to be released, but that is a matter for the Parole Board.”

Reynhard Sinaga: Prolific rapist should 'never be released', says Attorney General as he reviews sentence

Britain's worst rapist Reynhard Sinaga could die behind bars if sentence increased - LBC

UK's worst rapist Reynhard Sinaga moved into 'monster mansion' prison
''The twisted rapist branded the country's worst ever sex offender will be moved to a new prison.

The depraved student Reynhard Sinaga, from Indonesia, was jailed after attacking more than 130 men in Manchester.

He was caged earlier this year and now faces the prospect of being housed at a jail dubbed "Monster Mansion".

He will join the likes of John Worboys, the black cab rapist, and Ian Watkins, the depraved former lead singer of Lostprophets currently serving a sentence over paedophilia.''

''He had been living at HMP Manchester - known as Strangeways - since his arrest back in 2017.

But he was moved to the Category A HMP Wakefield on February 17 - just two days before his 37th birthday.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: “Sinaga did move to Wakefield from Strangeways on February 17.''

Two serial rapists with life sentences will have the minimum time they must spend in prison extended from 30 to 40 years, the High Court has ruled.

[...]

Reynhard Sinaga, 37, was sentenced at Manchester Crown Court in January for 159 offences against 48 men.

The judges rejected calls for whole-life jail terms, never successfully imposed in a non-homicide case.

This is what GMP have released.
Milestone, the longest sentence ever given in a rape case.
Greater Manchester Police
The Court of Appeal ruled this morning that serial rapist Reynhard Sinaga's sentence of life imprisonment with a minimum of 30 years would be extended a further 10 years.

This means that Sinaga, who was previously convicted of 159 counts of sexual offences against 48 different men, will serve a minimum 40 years before being considered for release instead of his original sentence of 30 years. Today is a milestone and an extensive sentence - the longest sentence given in a rape case.

Assistant Chief Constable Mabs Hussain said: "We welcome today's ruling and are very pleased that Sinaga will be behind bars a further 10 years. From speaking to many of his victims, we know that many will be comforted by this outcome and feel that the extension reflects the heinous nature of the crimes committed.

"At the very heart of this case has always been the victims and supporting them through their horrific ordeal. The bravery that these men continue to show has been nothing short of incredible and we, alongside partners such as St Mary’s Sexual Assault Referral Centre and Survivors Manchester, will continue to offer as much support as possible to the victims and help them in every way we can.

"Since reporting restrictions were lifted in January 2020, a number of reports were made to our dedicated incident room from people who were concerned they may have been a victim of Sinaga. As a result of this, we have been able to identify a further 23 of Sinaga's victims. Like many other victims, the majority of these men had been enjoying nights out in Manchester City Centre before being preyed on by Sinaga as they made their way home. We are continuing to offer these men our full support and help them in any way we can.

"As a result of further evidence coming to light, our investigators now believe that Sinaga committed sexual offences against 206 men. We are yet to identify around 60 of these men and would urge anyone who thinks they may have been a victim to please get in touch with us. If you don’t feel like you want to speak to police, specialist support services are widely available with organisations such as St Mary's SARC and Survivors Manchester.

"I would like to say a huge thank you to all of those who have contributed. First, a thanks to our investigation team whom I am incredibly proud of and have had to endure watching the most sickening of video evidence, which was created by Sinaga himself. I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our partners, including representatives from the NHS, health and support services, whose top priority has always – and will continue to be – the victims.

"We hope the work of the investigation team sends out a clear message that Greater Manchester Police is committed to investing time and resources into bringing those who carry out sex offences to justice. We also hope it demonstrates our firm commitment to working alongside specialised partner agencies in order to provide victims with any support they need. We will leave no stone unturned in the pursuit of justice."

If you have been affected by this case or believe that you may have been a victim of Reynhard Sinaga, then please contact police or specialist support agencies using the contact details below.

All reports made to police will be fully investigated and Greater Manchester is nationally recognised as a model of good practice in terms of support services available to victims.

Information can be passed to police via the Major Incident Public Portal Public Portal or by calling 101. The MIPP will also provide contact details for support agencies to anyone who accesses it.

For anyone who wishes to seek support but does not want to talk to police, St Mary’s Sexual Assault Referral Centre can continue to be reached on 0161 276 6515 and Survivors Manchester can be contacted on 0161 236 2182.
