"The bodies are believed to belong to two of the three men missing in Sooke since Friday night. The Peninsula News Review has learnt the identity of one of the bodies, but is withholding that information pending official confirmation. The search for a third person continues."

The West coast of BC has been hit with massive downpours. Many areas flooded, blocking major roads and highways. Sooke River Rd, as the name implies, runs parallel to Sooke River. It's an unlit back road, a dangerous combination paired with high water levels.

Family of Cory Mills have confirmed that he was one of the 2 bodies recovered. The caption of the photo in this article only mentions AJ Jensen, which leads me to believe that he is the one still missing.

"The force of the water snapped trees on the river’s edge, moved concrete barriers and lifted sunken logs into an elevated parking lot.

Locals said the rain transformed the river and would have flooded parts of the road with more than two metres of water."

"On Tuesday afternoon, searchers made the final grim discovery that the tightknit Sooke community had feared.

"Following several days of searching, this afternoon the body of an adult male has been recovered near Sooke River Road, which investigators believe to the body of a male reported missing late last week," said BC Coroners Service spokesperson Andy Watson in a statement Tuesday."
