If the virus can re-infect someone almost immediately upon recovery, that’s bad enough. But the last statement:
“Tierno said much remains unknown about the virus. "I'm not certain that this is not bi-phasic, like anthrax," he said, meaning the disease appears to go away before recurring.”
This is implying that recovered folks aren’t actually recovered at all. Basically saying the virus goes dormant, and then
re-emerges at a later time.
Yes, that is the greatest fear is that some
#1 don't create antibodies and can either harbor and come back out (e.g. shingles does for us old folks) or
#2 this virus doesn't create long lasting antibodies (devastating to all MOO) or
#3 that the folks are immunocompromised or too elderly and cannot create antibodies. Yet the folks this happened with are not in this category, which is perhaps the best of all choices? Anyone else have ideas to other options?
Health folks need to let us know this answer sooner than later MOO
