20-year-old charged with 1st degree murder of missing Safety Harbor man

Thanks for sharing this info @SeesSeas
Although they didn’t name the victim, it’s surely WBM. (IMO)
Info seems to match up.
•49 yr old
•Scheduled to be in Largos
•Left a residence in Pinella Park
•His truck
•The date

All of it is very disturbing, but what I found to be horrific IMO, is this guy supposedly killed the victim, drove the victims truck to his home to burglarize it, then drove the truck to another place to leave it and the victim inside! What a nightmare!

That IS what happened, according to news reporting! More details:
Belleair man accused of murder left behind ‘things to do’ list, Pinellas deputies say

A 20-year-old Belleair man accused of murder is in jail thanks in part to his organizational skills.

Rain Resuli left behind a handwritten list that deputies say links him to the deadly ambush and robbery of a 49-year-old Safety Harbor man last month.

“TAKE KEYS + GUN + PHONE (HIS CELL!)!!! + MONEY + MORE PERSONAL THINGS WEED (ALL OF IT)," read the note deputies said they found in Resuli’s bedroom. “SOME PARAPHERNALIA CUT CAMERA CORD TAKE HIS PHONE LOOK FOR WITNESSES/CAMERAS.”
[...]
The Safety Harbor man was sitting in the driver’s seat of his truck when deputies said Resuli shot and killed him.

Resulit then moved the body to the truck’s back seat, deputies said, and drove it to the victim’s home. He robbed the house and left with a suitcase and a rifle case, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Despite writing “LOOK FOR WITNESSES/CAMERAS” on his list, deputies said a surveillance camera caught Resuli entering the home for 12 minutes. Then he abandoned the truck, with the victim still inside, behind the Seminole office. The truck wasn’t discovered for 13 days.

This dude needs a Darwin award. JMO

I can't figure out why this poor gentleman was targeted. Weed? Big deal. Money? Valuables? Strange crime.

RIP William - I am sorry you missed a fun fishing trip with friends.

Perp was probably his weed dealer and William unwisely let him know that he had a large amount of cash at his house. Might have been asked to be a middle man on a larger buy and decided to take it all for himself. There are definitely people out there to whom a life is worth less than a thousand dollars.
