On fb "Find Vanessa" page the comments of #I am Vanessa are plentiful and shows how the military devalues women, and places blame
right on their shoulders for the sex crimes committed by men of various ranks, especially higher ups.

Covering it up has been the norm since women have been allowed to enlist! That has to change, but really it hasn't changed much in the entire world.
Women are often/almost always blamed for sex crimes against them. Ask any rape victim.
"How much were you drinking?" "What did you do to lead him on?" "What were you wearing?"

Two PFC’s and a Pvt. missing from this base in recent years. Vanessa being the first female. Ft. Hood is huge and a body came be buried in loads of place unseen on base. Then the surrounding area of Killeen, Copperas Cove, is all open and still more land in which to bury a body.

I’m surprised Pfc. Brandon Rosecrans body made it all the way to Austin.

I wonder if CID has searched the tunnels there on post. That would certainly be an important place to look.

I didn't get to see the entire video because it was taken own from YT. But it seems it was correct that she said she was last seen in a white truck. That is new to me. I wonder if they told her at the meeting yesterday.
If CID told her this, then:
1)Why didn't they inform the news to look for a white truck?
2)If this "truck" was new info, why didn't they post it on their outlets? Why didn't the commander bring this up?
3) IMO, what if this truck was given to Mom as a distraction. What do you all think?

At one point there was a video shown of Vanessa at a restaurant picking up carryout. She drove up in her white Jeep. Some people call it a truck. Is it possible that was the 'truck' Vanessa's Mother was referring to and that being the last time Vanessa was actually seen? The person interviewed at the restaurant stated that Vanessa picked up enough food for 2 people. Who was that other person?

Cannot find that video to link!

I believe that video was a week or more before and it does look like she’s handing the bag to someone

I was lost here for a few minutes because of no warning to the other thread closing and no link to this one!
I had answered a post in the first thread, and it said the thread was closed when I went to post it, so I diligently copied it to paste it in this thread and lost the whole thing.

Exactly! This has been going on since woman first started joining the military. It’s a good old boy network. It’s as if it’s their right to harass the woman, feeling they are in a career that should exclusively belong to men. The military won’t bring these things to light because it would ruin the image they want to portray.

They make it impossible for a woman to report such harassment because she is vilified, and ostracized among the ranks for it. They are suppose to have her back, but they are her enemy. She will draw the crap assignments, the dangerous work, be set up and reported for things she didn’t do. She will not make ranks she applies for.

It’s the way of that world. I pray the family gets answers, even if they don’t like the answers they get. So much is covered up to make the military look squeaky clean.

i think she put the food down on the hood of the white jeep for a sec, got her keys ready to unlock the door, then reached in to set the first bag down, (and was likely then going to pick up whatever she set down on the roof and put it in the car, but we don't see that in the video.). (she certainly could have handed it over to someone in the passenger seat, too.)

sorry if i missed this detail along the way, but is this not vanessa's vehicle?

I don't believe that LE told VG's mother that she was last seen in a white truck.

According to translators here, VG's mother apparently said that "someone" told her that.
For all we know, that someone could have been a psychic.
It could have been a co-worker of VG's repeating a rumor they heard.
We don't know where that claim is coming from.

We do know this: LE has not stated she was last seen in a white truck.

That press conference told me exactly why LE isn't sharing information freely with family members. To do so would compromise their investigation horribly.

Her mother is understandably distraught.
Her mother is angry.
She is blaming "everyone" at Fort Hood.
"Everyone is responsible."

Those are feelings talking.
Not facts.

Everyone is NOT responsible.
But someone is.

I absolutely believe that LE has an (unnamed) suspect in this case.
They need to have proof BARD in order to successfully prosecute the perpetrator.
The fact that an arrest has not yet been made tells me that they do not have enough evidence to meet that threshold right now.

Unless/until LE names a suspect, neither can we.

My own opinion from very early on has been that the someone responsible is going to end up being someone of rank, and possibly married.

JMO.

Great post. I don't know about her mother, but I know that her sister specifically posted on Twitter that she and the family do not approve the whole psychic videos being posted on YT. As far as details, I definitely agree that the family can't be given everything. However, what about the lawyer? I think she is doing a great job advocating for the family, and she knows the law. She knows if they gave her that info, she could say that they do have a POI, but not disclose it to the public, and/or any other details.

But the lawyer seemed very frustrated with what's going on. I wonder if she has worked with any other military related cases.

There’s more wooded area than just killeen and copperas cove. I am in Temple and where they searched on monday is less than 5 miles from my house. There is so much wooded area around here. Leon River is not in a heavily populated or driven area either.

Did not hear anything about a white truck but did hear that she wasn’t supposed to be at work that day. I am confused by that though because if she wasn’t supposed to be there, why would she leave her belongings there in the office? Why wouldn’t she have them on her person?

I’ve alway suspected that she either didn’t leave them willingly or she was never even in there, and it was planted to fit the whole narrative of whoever absconded with her. That’s purely JMO.

Exactly. Its not like she is working at a Dairy Queen and can just drop by when not scheduled. She was in the armory with highly secured and inventoried weapons.
MOO MOO there may be wrong doing that she uncovered in her job as inventory specialist. She might not even have known what she had stumbled on.
Attempts to suppress her may have taken a sexual harassment turn, but at core there may be missing weapons.

MOO
Sister received odd text from VGs phone saying she was going to work at 9am.

MOO MOO maybe VG was being framed for a missing weapon to explain her disappearance but the reaction to her disappearance was immediate and furious and the plot got frozen in place before done.

Military reform has worked for men then for integration. Time for reform to work for women.
