AR AR - Zakiya Mattews, 16-18, West Memphis, 10 Aug 2019

This situation seems like a sad one IMO.....no photo, no specific age provided, time it took to put into NamUs...
I am hunting more info and a pic for this young lady.
The spelling of her last name either an unusual spelling or it is mispelled.
Zakiya Mattews

Zakiya Mattews
The spelling of her last name is quite different. I agree, it is a big possibility it is misspelled.

It didnt make much difference spelling it Matthews or Mattews when searching with my limited skills.
Heres to hoping someone with better searching skills will take over searching online.
I am working to get in touch with the contacts in NAMUS.
Any and all advise would be greatly appreciated.

I did get an email back from Mr. Michael Nance who advised me to contact the detective assigned to the case in local law enforcement.

Should I upload then email somewhere on websleuths.com and make post a link here.

I left a voice mail with case detective Steven Flemming .

Did anything ever come of this?

Ugh, really?
I hope Zakiya is safe. Maybe part of the lack of photo and information is that she was no longer a minor when reported missing, and that it was considered voluntary, but then again, those aren't great reasons if she was a minor at the time.

Are any of these children being found ?

So what's going on here that law enforcement still can't track down her date of birth or any photo?

Is her family not cooperating, or are they literally unable to cooperate, or are they unable to find her family?

Who was she living with, and who reported her missing?

Bumping up for Zakiya. She's still listed on NamUs.
I can't find her listed on the Doe Network nor Charley Project, but I assume she's still missing.
