I'm pretty sure this younger Leroy Crummie born in March 1958 is his son.

Public records indicate that a Leroy Crummie married a Shirley Faye Roberson (later Shirley Faye Crummie) in 1956. Public records also show that Shirley Roberson/Crummie AND the younger Leroy both lived at the same address at one point (4454 Grant St. in Gary, IN)

I found a FB profile for a Leroy Crummie who says in their bio that they graduated from Lew Wallace High School in Gary, IN. I'm hopeful that it's him. It appears he is still alive...
