There are no exclusions listed. Have you ever submitted Travis as a possible match?

I did not. There was so little found of the UID I wasn’t very confident. I’m also more of a suggester and not so much a submitter. I still think it’s a possibility though. Circumstances and location look good. Please submit if you’re comfortable with it.

Chad Steiner compared with Dauphin Island John Doe.

@YaYa_521 i saw that you liked Coffees post asking you to submit Travis as a match for John Doe. I was wondering if you ended up doing so. I know the PMI and height is off a bit but it definitely wouldn't hurt to see if he's a match

No, I didn't. I'll add this submission to my list of pending submissions. I have a few more that I'll be working on later this week. I wonder if @Tuck submitted Chad Steiner for comparison? If not, I'll also mention him to the investigator when I call.

I’m not sure that I got around to submitting them for comparison, so would be very appreciative if you could mention it. Thanks!

Bumping for Dauphin Island John Doe, who got an update to his DN profile yesterday.

I think the sketch resembles George James, who may have gone to Mobile, Al per his profile. But he went missing in 1998 and is taller than the Doe is estimated to be. We don't know how many bones were recovered for the Doe of course so could the height not be off?

Been thinking...and I'm starting to doubt he fell out of a helicopter or off a boat. If he did, the people who did not would surely have to file some kind of report about it. And if there was a boat or helicopter that went out and never came back (crashed, sunk) there would surely be some record of that.

If he went out on his own in a boat, it's more likely there wouldn't be a record of a boat going out without returning, but it's still curious. He would have to be someone that didn't have anyone around to report him missing, or a case where the people that would file a report didn't have reason to do so (i.e. it's normal for them to not see or hear from him for a while). It's also possible he went out on a small boat with a companion or two, they sunk, and the other two bodies never washed ashore.

This sounds like something @othram might be interested in.
